I'm surprised by the hate on roseman. Am I the only one that see's the past few seasons as the following:
1. Vick comes out of nowhere to dominate league while we are supposed to be rebuilding.
2. Reid, seeing another window, tries to quickly build up a defense to support the offense.
3. Howie successfully brings in top free agents all the while keeping us under cap.
4. Vick regresses and the D never comes together.
Reid had to go for it, he made the opposite mistake of not adding pieces earlier in his tenure. Didn't work out. However, I give roseman credit for getting the players here to give Reid a chance. |

Nnamdi? Jenkins? Vince Young? Demetrus Bell? Steve Smith? None were worth the money. The free agency was a total failure! |

Nnamdi at the time was a bargain, have he been worth the average of 12 mill a year, no, but that's also on the coaches using him wrong, and him taking a step back.
Babin's 18 sacks for 5,5 average is brilliant. Most teams pay ~1 million on average for sack, Players A makes 10 million and is most likely in the 10-12 sack range.
Cullen Jenkins at 5 or 6 a year is solid.
Some of these players just regressed, which is what can happen with 30 year old FA's. _________________

+1
The fatal flaw in this grouping is that Vick played at a high level I'm pretty sure franchise caliber QBs make around what he was making plus add the out clause that we're soon approaching.
And like Nnamdi I blame AR and the coaching staff for not using him correctly. Thinking they can run practically the same O without any tweaks or adjustments from what they saw at the tail end of '10.
EDIT: Add the fact that he was the last QB aside from Brees/Peyton to sign a big contract yeah I can see that that deal in 2011. I wish they would've done something more like Brees where the cap hit isn't so high (40mil due 2012 with a 10.4 cap hit) to go along with the out clause. _________________

We should have stuck with Kolbatron and traded Vick for a first or a second at the end of 2010. _________________

We'd still be in the crapper, and I was Pro giving Kolb a go _________________ Officially endorsed by Jon Dorenbos

Yeah we would. I'm already more convinced with Foles than I ever was with Kolb. _________________

I still, to this day, believe that Kolb is a good quarterback. He's been put in an awful situation in Arizona, but he's played well. _________________

Yea the only time I thought he would amount to anything was when I was trying to convince Arizona fans that they wanted to give up alot to get him. _________________
