| If the best player on your favorite (or any great player) team suffered a severe concussion and decided to retire because fear of brain damage what emotion(s) would you feel? |

If Rodgers walked away after this year I wouldn't blame him. Dude already has two and has a special helmet because of them. To quote the great Pusha T "Wealth can't buy health." _________________

I'd like to think I would feel happy for him for being smart enough to get out while he still had his relative mental and physical health and a good quality of life ahead of him. _________________

Yep. Megatron gets a severe concussion thats going to effect him for the rest of his life he needs to walk away.
I'll miss the highlight reel catches and great games but football is a game. No need to effect the next 50 years of your life with devastating conditions. Wouldn't blame him a bit.
He's made enough money. Go live life. _________________ AAL: DeAndre Levy 31 Tackles

Upset and sadness. Still I'd encourage him to walk away. A serious concussion is nothing to mess with. _________________ Mmmm...Sacrelicious! |

Sadness for losing the rightful MVP but appreciation and admiration to Adrian for doing the smart thing. _________________

Saw this with Dielman, and I agree with him 100/100 times. _________________

Probably feel the same way I did when David Pollack walked away. Upset, but it's understandable. Don't blame the player at all for walking away... _________________

Why I'd call the player soft and blame him entirely for any failings of the ball club for the next 5 years...
Seriously, what the heck? I think every normal person would feel bad for the player. If this is a teams best player it probably means he isn't soft, so you can't question his integrity and most likely it was just part of the game.
And this concussion thing isn't new... Surprised Cowboy and 9ers fans haven't already addressed this - both Aikman and Steve Young walked away because of concussions and neither fan base were critical and felt a lot of sadness. How would this be any different than say, Nick Collins who suffered a neck injury where the next hit could leave him paralyzed or killed.
I think most fans (with any brains) realize it's just a game. |

Feel bad for him, but I would move on. Players get hurt and retire. This is a violent game. _________________
