Speaking of Milloy, you think there's any chance if him being hired as DBs coach, or is that bridge burnt beyond repair?

Beyond burnt.
Are there any ex-players you think would realistically come here to coach in the near future?

Faulk. That's about it.

Then again, I wouldn't have pegged Corwin Brown as the first Parcells-era guy to return to the team to coach so who knows.

I'd love to see Ty Law or Rodney come back, but I don't know if either sees a future career in coaching.

I think Roman Phifer is still in Denver. Not 100% sure but he stuck after McDaniels was fired.

On 98.5 today I believe they mentioned that Otis Smith was a coach somewhere ... KC I think.

I was hoping Talib get number 20 or something.

Obviously, this is all speculation, but I would say Faulk is the most likely candidate. Low key, major team guy, thrived being a part time player and embraced being a mentor. I can see coaching in his future.

As for the others... Law himself was a great player, but I never saw him as a "future coach" And Rodney, I'd put him in the same boat as a guy like Bruschi - guys who would do well as coaches but wouldn't want to. They lived their football dreams and left everything out on the field, and and now want to live it up, network, travel around and eat steak every night.

Well, Marion was before my time, too, but evidently he was the best safety to play for the team until Lawyer Milloy.

Who? Just kidding

Yeah, I'm glad someone noticed.

Was kind of hoping to get a rise. But on second thoughts, I don't want to be known as totally clueless so wish I hadn't.

I have watched the America's Game 2001, 2003, 2004 versions so many times though. I'm aware of Milloy's impact on the team (not necessary his play, but obviously a tremendous locker room presence and then the whole 'getting cut' thing)

My lack of knowledge on older players is probably before that time though, you could probably say the Tom Brady era is the only one I have any sort of knowledge about, but I'm gradually getting a little better (with the help of all the elderly folks on here Razz )
