So are they just not happy with what they saw from Campbell or are they just expecting Cutler to be out for a week or two? Or both? _________________

The oddsmakers say SF by 5. I will take Campbell at QB and the Bears in SF on MNF.

E tu, ChicagoAl?
Robbie Gould is the best Bears kicker?? Arggh, not even close.
1. George Blanda
2. Kevin Butler
3. Bob Thomas
And Cutler needs to sit this week. Jason Campbell should play QB. Bears win. _________________ "I have to keep playing so people over 40 will have somebody to root for on Sunday afternoons." George Blanda who played until he was 46 |

Yup, Clayton says it's doubtful for him on Monday. _________________ Martellus Bennet highlight video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lP8fHN53t0 |

What you think Ditka is the coach?
And the Bears FG kicker is starting to lose it. Hold tryouts. Robbie has missed three field goals two of which hit the uprights. I don't know how often you have been at Soldier Field but no kickers beat Robbie there. He also regularly puts the ball into the end zone on kickoffs. I haven't seen any indication that he is losing it.
The oddsmakers say SF by 5. I will take Campbell at QB and the Bears in SF on MNF.
What mild mannered bunch in here. | We are used to the modern era. |
And I believe the other miss was blocked. Robbie is just fine. |
That is correct, I forgot about that. |

The three best kickers in Bears history, Blanda, Thomas and Butler played in very different eras. Blanda the 1950's when the expectation was for him to hit 40-45 yarders and put the kickoff at the 10-20.
Thomas and Butler, were both amazingly consistent, ten seasons each, in the 1970's to '80's and the mid '80's to '90's. If memory serves, they seldom hit the goal posts.
Possibly Gould is rushing his kicks due to poor blocking.
The poor line blocking that has allowed far too many hits on Cutler in recent years may be wearing out his concentration.
What is delusional is to expect much offense if the QB is hit far too often and the kicker is rushing his kickers. _________________ "I have to keep playing so people over 40 will have somebody to root for on Sunday afternoons." George Blanda who played until he was 46 |

Bears will beat the 49ers on MNF if Smith is also not playing QB. Jason Campbell beats the 49er backup.
McGown is not an NFL QB.
The Bears had better fix what ever is wrong with Robbie Gould. There are 120 Div. IA college football teams. They all have kickers. About about 30-40 kickers move on each year. The CFL has kickers. | Robbie is as good a kicker as can be found and, arguably, the best the Bears have ever had. There is nothing wrong with him that needs fixing. He is the least of our problems. |

How is Gould not one of the best kickers in history for the Bears, when he is the third most accurate kicker in NFL history.. odd but oh well. _________________

Possibly Gould is rushing his kicks due to poor blocking. He is not rushing his kicks. Kickers simply do not make all their kicks and Gould missed two. The blocking broke down on the other.

i hate talking down a player or players on the Bears but man I am really not pleased with any of the QB's the Bears get. Hope Jay is ok and the Bears can play good on Monday night and get a victory on the road!
Jay has just been ticking me off a little. but I don't play on the team nor do I
own any part of the Bears but i am a loyal fan and Like to see them play well. _________________
