Steelers are bracing for a "serious" injury to QB Ben Roethlisberger's shoulder, I'm told. The fear is that it's worse than a separation.

Report: Chiefs player commits suicide at Arrowhead after killing girlfriend
Posted by Mike Florio on December 1, 2012, 10:40 AM EST
The shooting at Arrowhead Stadium reportedly has resulted in one death at the team facility, and one death elsewhere.
According to KCTV, an unnamed player has committed suicide at Arrowhead Stadium. He shot himself at the practice facility after allegedly shooting and killing his girlfriend at a home near 54th Street and Chrysler Avenue.
Per Jay Glazer of FOX, Chiefs players are being asked to assemble at the team facility for a meeting regarding the situation.
More details to come.

That is very tragic, things must have been real down for that unnamed player but there are no excuses for this. |

Tough situation all around. I would assume that going on with the game tomorrow is best. Perhaps a moment of silence for the girl friend and her family is in order? |

The poor child of the player and girl friend will grow up not having his biological parents, this was a very senseless thing to do. |

Never in my wildest nightmares could I imagine what would prompt someone to do something so horrific.. Just absolutely terrible... Such sad, sad news for all friends and family involved.. Life is much bigger than the games played on Sundays, and there are much more important things. _________________
