A friendly debate going on between some Vikings and Lions fans on what team has the better roster. Who has the advantage:
QB:
RB:
WR:
OL:
DL:
LB:
Secondary:
Special Teams:
I voted like this:
QB: Advantage Lions
RB: Vikings
WR: Lions
OL: Vikings
DL: Vikings
LB: Lions
Secondary: Vikings
Special Teams: Vikings
Its pretty much a given that the Lions have an advantage at QB and WR and the Vikings at RB and Special Teams. What about the rest?
So to phrase it in another way, if the Vikings and Lions met on a neutral site, who would be the favorite?

On paper it's hard not to pick the Lions. But they've been a little disappointing early in the season so you don't really know how consistent they're going to be.

The Vikings beat Detroit at home and in Detroit this season... Your question is already answered. Minnesota should be favored anywhere.
Stafford > Ponder
Calvin is 1a to 2a Harvin (different roles)
As a TEAM DetroitD > MinnesotaD
But head to head MinnD > DetroitO and Peterson > Detroit D. Nearly all of the individual matchups favor Minny.
Coaching is probably in favor of Minny (tough call but Schwartz is a Goofy Goober). |

| Well Minnesota is better matched against the Lions but I'm not sure which one is better overall yet. Both teams tend to be inconsistent when it comes to playing well. |

i'd say give it a rest Nbanflguy, but that's just me. the Lions lost a game they thought they had every good chance of winning and it probably ended any post season hopes for their fans. no need to bring it up so soon after, it feels like gloating.

Im not gloating. Just look in the Lions GDT. It was a civil conversation on who has the better roster. One guy said he thinks its the Lions and he is pretty sure most nfl fans would agree. Another poster and Myself disagreed and I just want to see what others think.

| I am more concerned playing Detroit. I fear a Qb with elite potential the most. When Gb has such an advantage at qb I am always far less concerned, rightly or wrongly. |

The Vikings are better against the run and we sack the QB more often. The Lions having a better dline is a myth.
