Our SOS will hurt us in the draft if we're tied with 4-5 other teams so I can see us in the early teens. _________________

All this Mingo talk makes him seem similar to Aaron Maybin when he came out of Penn St. Either way, not a good fit.
I really don't want to see this team picking in the teens again. I don't want a football team that flirts with mediocrity. If we went left tackle in the first round, does that mean Levi or the rookie is getting moved to right tackle or that Levi is not brought back? _________________

So i guess the consensus is that Lewan is the better pick. I'm just asking about you all of your opinions on these players because im doing the GM mock for the forum. |

I like Lewan. Said it a few times now, very good player with tons of upside. Incredibly nasty, great work ethic, solid in both phases even if he's a better run blocker right now than he is in the pass game. Just a very good prospect with the talent to go much further. He'd make a helluva pick for this team. And yes, I like him a lot more than Mingo. |

Instead of drafting a QB, why dont they sign Matt Moore to backup Kolb? |

This team needs a franchise quarterback, not Matt Moore backing up Kevin Kolb. _________________

If we bring in a cheap FA it should be James Harrison. He'll get cut because of his salary. Horton will probably want him. _________________

I love Werner, but he is strictly 4-3 DE, he is not a 3-4 DE or 3-4 OLB, i dont care what anyone says, He has the motor and the bulk to stop the run and chase the QB, Carradine has excelled this year due to all the double teams Werner gets. Plus the DT's beside him are all NFL bound.
He is like Watt from Texans and could dominate, he fills no need on our team unfortunately.
I really like the fact Rhodes is dropping atm (no idea why) hopefully we lose enough games (trying to be positive here) to get him in the 2nd, him and PP, brilliant. |

An under the radar guy I like at QB, though unlikely to come out this year, is David Fales at San Jose State. _________________

Post week 10 we're picking #17... Boo! If our SOS pushes us back in a grouping of 4-5 teams it swaps in the 2nd round. It's nice having our 2nd rounder this time. _________________

When we lose the next few games it wil push us down the list, into the high singles or low teens.
Still, hasnt the mood changed in 5 weeks, omg, this team is like a rollercoaster ride. |

Huh? Watt's 6 foot 5, 295 pounds. Werner's 6 foot 3 and a half, 256 pounds.... |

Some insider info here for everyone, my alma mater Illinois State, has a senior RB who's probably going to get an NFL look.
http://stats.washingtonpost.com/cfb/players.asp?id=202769
He went to a local high school, where both his parents were into drugs, and was taken in and adopted by a family that were close with.
They helped him earn a scholarship to ISU, where he now starts for a team positioned to win their first conference championship in nearly a decade.
After speaking to his family recently, they said he's received a few NFL phone calls, with the team most interested being...

Small school kid likely going in the late rounds? That sounds just like us.
Thanks for the info. |
