Pretty much. We're just fighting for a wildcard at this point. |
You can lock in GB as a WC. It's probably between Detroit, TB and Seattle for the other spot. Minnesota will fade with their schedule IMO. _________________

100% agree. The 5 seed will go to either CHI or GB, whoever loses the division. I don't really think Tampa will be there by seasons end, though you guys might be. So far we've lost to you, lost to Detroit, and play Minnesota next week. We have lost to every divisional opponent we've played and every team in contention for the 6 seed with us... _________________

Tampa could easily be, and probably should be 5-2. They have studs on offense and scoring about 27 ppg. Other than ATL x 2 their schedule is favorable. Unless we win tomorrow we'll be done... @GB, @ATL, @SF, @SEA, CHI & DET at home. Brutal... _________________

He looks ok. Bad secondary in Century Link, 11-18. Not bad.
Like to see him do that against a good defense on the road. |

Alex Smith was knocked out of the SF-STL game with a concussion. Rams up 17-7. |

And the 49er's Super Bowl chances improve because of it. |

Eh. Kaepernick's pretty shaky. Say you will about Alex Smith, the guy is incredibly efficient. |

And the game ends in a tie for SF and STL. First time there has been a tie since 2008 when Philly and Cincinnati tied. _________________

Still looks good to me. Schooling the Bears defense. The 49er's should start him the rest of the way. Alex Smith is not a winner. |

Kaepernick is looking good right now versus the Bears defense. He has been accurate, been able to make plays downfield and is absolutely shredding this Bears defense right now.
So if and when Alex Smith is no longer around, it looks like we now know that he can actually be there guy in the long term. _________________

Never understood the Alex Smith hate. He played for inept HC's in Nolan & Singletary then played well once the coaching staff and OL was upgraded. We have a good defense and he humiliated us... That said Kaepernick is looking incredible. It's Lindley's turn on Sunday. _________________

He did embarass the Cardinals defense, without a doubt. The problem is that he has not shown that he can throw the ball down the field and make the people around him better like Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. He looks good because he has a fantastic offensive line, a good run game and an elite defense. _________________

Last season wasn't a fluke. What did they win, 13-14 games? That's probably not a valid statement anymore.
If they releaseed him, I'd definitely be interested. |
