I never knew he was 5'11 240.... I figured he was smaller because , you know, he plays like it
and you were just saying how he played in a 3-4 in college and had this many sacks....but now you're saying " he plays in a 4-3 so how could you expect him to be good at pass rushing"...you just kind of contradicted yourself.
I like the idea of a 3-4....but we don't really have any real d ends except Cox and our two LBs are wayy better off in the 4-3. |
Jenkins, but he's as good as gone anyways. Thorton has the size, strength, length, and athletic ability to play end.
Also Kendricks could play inside in a 34, He wouldn't be the TED backer obviously, but he could play a Lawrence Timmons/Darryl Washington type role on a 3-4 defense. Also you said the 8.5 sack season is the reason he had 13.5 sacks in college, but that would indicate he can rush the passer, no? We rarely blitz, he hasn't had the chance to do it, but he did it in college. If you line him up next to a good TED backer who can play behind a true NT and he'll be fine there.
As far as the offseason, I don't mind the GM hire, but I'm iffy on the coaching staff. I'm not a fan of the Faine signing either, but I really like the Moore signing and the first 2 draft picks, but I've seen Holmes bullied at times this season (Star Louitiou absolutley man handled him). Rest of the draft is decent.
