Do you honestly think MBT gives us a better chance to win than Webb? I think the main reason for a change is we still have a chance to make the playoffs but Ponder is killing us. If we don't care about winning we should just ride out Ponder the rest of the season.

playing MBT anytime within the next 2 years would be stupid. Hes a young Qb whom they want to develop. You don't throw him to the wolves because after about 19 games of still being a young qb impatient and ridiculous fans will be calling for his benching for the next young QB they will.want to play too soon

I don't think there's any Webb-bashing going on, I think all our guys like his skill set a lot and wish he was used more often.

but as a starting QB in every game? not so much. that doesn't mean he's being "bashed."

Tier 5- Graham Harrell, Luke McCown, Dan Orlovsky, Tyrod Taylor

Yeah, I posted in the NFL General forum that I watched Colin Kaepernick on Sunday and he didn't look nearly as good as Webb did a year ago, although some of that might have been first-game jitters on Kaepernick's part.

I also noticed in the 49ers game that the Rams defence had zero difficulty making the adjustment from Alex Smith to Colin Kaepernick, which is about equivalent to the adjustment from Ponder to Webb.
