Every time I watch a Jaguars game I see this kid stand out and always seems to
be making plays. Just was wondering what you guys think about him considering
you guys see way more that I do living in New Jersey. He looks to be one of the
only bright spots on the Jaguars this year. Thanks for any feedback _________________

Ouch. That paragraph structure.
I think almost everyone here thinks Shorts is on his way to becoming a consistent 1,000 yard receiver. He has the makings of a potential superstar receiver. Kid can ball out and is a playmaker. _________________

well said. he's getting more impressive as the # of targets go up, and i think blackmon will be a more effective #2 anyway. way too early to make this comparison (but i'm going to anyway), but shorts & blackmon look like they have to potential to be thunder & lightning II.

Bright spot is right. It's actually pretty incredible how much Shorts III has developed from last year to now. He seems to have that special something as well, and looks to be on his way to becoming a very good WR in this league. |

Blackmon couldn't separate from 13 inch arms on a good day Leonard Johnson in college...there is no way he is beating press coverage in the NFL, it is all on Blackmon, Gabbert has nothing to do with it...oh, and when they play him in zone, he isn't fast enough to find a hole. _________________

He found a hole on the first play of the game last night and Blaine overthrew him... _________________

Blackmon has been open multiple times and Gabbert just flat out misses him.
First game against Vikings, Blackmon wide open for a TD, overthrown by Gabbert.
Late in Packers game, Blackmon comes wide open on a crossing route towards the sideline, Gabbert's throw wasn't even close. Could have been a big gain.
There are many more instances. Blackmon has to improve his route running, no denying that but to blame it all on him is hilarious. Blaine is at fault as well. _________________

Tomorrow, I'll re-watch all 59 of Blackmon's target this season and I'll come away with the same stance I have now.
Blaine rarely goes through his progressions. Last night when the ball was snapped, he'd snap his head to the right or left, zero in on L-Rob and wait for his 6 yard hooks. When he did it with Cecil, just a pick 6. _________________
