Its not like we have a shortage of TE's on the roster and I dont think TT would be in a rush to cut any of them. That coupled with the numerous other injuries makes me think IR. This is based totally on the numbers game | If he is healthy he is the #2 TE on this team. If he is healthy I play him and dont think twice about it. For my money I think he is the best blocking TE on the team and is probably the 2nd best receiving TE on the roster. I liked his pass pro out of the backfield and inline blocking, if he can go, I hope we use him. |
Who are you gonna cut ? Can we go with 5 TE's on a roster with so many injuries ? Thats a tough call IMO. | IR Perry or Bulaga and that opens up a roster space. _________________

It opens up a roster space, but in most cases you want to replace the injured player with one that plays the same position to keep a balanced roster. We may not replace Perry with an OLB but I bet we replace Bulaga with an OL _________________

We already activated Zombo and IIRC we were at 52 so that was a free space. I see your point, but at the same time you keep the best 53 IMO. Why we kept Boykin IMO, he was one of the best 53, not that we needed a 6th WR.

@TomSilverstein
#Packers have activated TE Andrew Quarless to the 53-man roster and put rookie LB Nick Perry on injured reserve, according to an NFL source.

good luck and best wishes to Quarless!!! I'm so happy to see him back again. If he plays as well as last season then good news for our run game, meaning good news for Rodgers' playactioning, meaning good news for superb owling. |

Here's to hoping that Quarless brings back a complete TE to the Packers. Need a TE that can catch downfield AND block. Really hope Q uses November to get back in football shape and is getting in the groove in time for week 15 at Soldier Field. More likely though, he isn't himself this year but I'm just happy to hear that he's back on the field. _________________
