| How does that work to bring a player back from IR? Can a team only do that for one player? If so, will we have to make a decision between him and Benson? Is Benson on IR too? |

reading twitter right now at GBPG and they are trying to find out whether Perry is for sure headed to IR or not...so there's still hope. They also said Favre had this same kind of wrist injury but played through it....of course that was favre they said.... |

That player has to be designated for return when originally put on IR and a team can only use it with one player per season. Cedric Benson WAS designated for return for the Packers so he'll be able to return week 12 i believe. _________________

Yupp. You got that right. Hopefully he is healthy to go right away. I think they might have that same 3-week window (like PUP) where they can be activated or shut down permanently. _________________

| So what is the latest news anyone has heard on Bulaga? Has it been confirmed he is out for the year? And has anyone heard anything more on Lang's ligament damage? |

I haven't seen anything on Bulaga. |

I heard from a friend of mine that Bulaga's might be career threatening. Although I'm not sure where he heard it though. Might be heresy, but from the news that he was seeing a specialist on hips, not sure that's good news... _________________

It's all panic based primarily on the comments during the game, I think from Aikman, saying that reminded him of Bo Jackson, combined with the fact that he's seeing a second doctor. Not to say it isn't a POSSIBLE outcome, but there really is no valid reason to assume that worst case scenario just yet. _________________

Will someone hold me while I cry?
Also, another Q for the lineman guys here. Say that Sherrod CAN go and we put him at LT. If Bulaga is out for an extended period of time, would we kick Lang back to guard and put Newhouse at RT? Would he succeed there? _________________

We are the Packers, we rarely ever catch a break injury wise. Damn this sucks. |

Just wondering about the options here. Did Datko get any snaps at RT in the preseason ? I know he looked much better at LT than G which doesn't surprise me. I liked him. Great tackle frame. If he can make strides that would be a huge help, no matter what happens with Bulaga.
Me thinks Newhouse should practice his RT stance in the offseason. I always thought he should have been there with Bulaga at LT anyway. _________________

He wasn't very good, but IMO it was an adjustment thing. The guy has been a life long LT and the footwork wasn't there when he switched sides. The line is a mess right now, next Training Camp we might have 2 or 3 Left Tackles, we might have 0. So hard to figure out right now. |
