Stanford Routt was just waived today by KC. With Cook out, do you think we should pursue him?
I do!! _________________

I would consider it, Routt is a tall CB. Routt wouldnt be a terrible signing, but I dont think AJ Jefferson and Josh Robinson are that bad. Routt was cut from a lousy team, does that concern anyone? |

The comments on line from both teams he was recently cut from are not very positive. OTOH, I'm not sure it could hurt at this point to give him a tryout. _________________ Wins are a team stat, not a QB stat |

I believe that part of him getting waived was a fallout with the head coach.
Still, I'd consider it, but only after he cleared waivers because I read he has a 10 million dollar option bonus for 2013. Do not want that. |

No thanks.
Will be 30 years old before next season and I'd much rather let Josh Robinson and AJ Jefferson get experience. I'd rather bring up Bobby Felder from the practice squad. _________________

Really guys? He'd be 30, not 37.
On a one year deal, being the #4 CB, I don't think it can hurt. _________________

What's the point?
What's it going to help? Is he going to help when we get to a point where we can compete?
The answer is no. _________________

I'm with ya steelking. The guy has 2 interceptions in 7 games on a horrible defense. The organization is pathetic as well as the team. The only guy with 2 interceptions on our team is Winfield and he's even older. Whats sad is alot of you guys wanted to let Winfield go last year because he was old. For some reason everyone on here thinks when age 30 hits guys cant produce anymore. Im all for young talent but you need veterans as well.
Bottom line is....We need turnovers on defense. Who knows...this guy could come in and have a great year for us and we sign him for longer. If he busts...we let him go, big deal!
Its worth the shot....none of you guys like to take chances. If we just sit back and relax like we've been doing for the past 3 years then teams are going to continue to walk all over us. Spend some damn money!!! (And not on unproven, injury prone, backup tight ends) _________________

If you look at the schedule, we are playing heavier pass oriented teams.
Lions
Bears (meh) 2x
Packers 2x
Rams (I feel like that team gravitates more towards Bradford than Jackson at this point)
and even then, Houston isn't a bad passing team either.
Routt would come in as the #4, and if injury happens, then he's promoted.
Believe me, he's no savior, but against pass happy teams, its always good to haven alot of talent at the CB spot.
but no, we aren't doomed if we don't sign him. _________________
