Here are my thoughts on Chris Kuper.
-When he is in the game, Orlando Franklin is noticably better in the run game and pass protection. His experience and knowledge helps out Franklin tremendously.
-He's not 100% but I didn't really expect him to be. Although he was getting to the 2nd level pretty well in his first game back.
-While not at 100% and while Manny Ramirez wasn't a nuclear disaster at RG, Kuper was much better. Particularly is pass protection.
-Kuper seemed to fit on double teams well and when he would come off them to the 2nd level.
I wasn't as worried about his forearm as I was from his ankle. When I go back and see his mangled ankle in my mind from last years game, it makes me sick. _________________

Vickerson without any question is our best Defensive Lineman against zone running plays. Greg Cosell says it all the time - it isn't good enough to just slide with the Offensive Lineman against a zone running play. You have to get penetration in the backfield and Vickerson (in my opinion) has the best explosion off the snap of any of our Defensive Lineman (excluding Von in our Nickel). _________________

Hey George, just curious if you're going to get a chance to look at this game in "all 22", what with your internet woes.
If you do, I'd love to hear how our OL interior fared. Didn't see the game so I'd love some input. Also, was there interior pressure on either of PM's picks?
Thanx |

Thanx | No, but there was pressure from the edge on the 2nd pick. Two guys unblocked.
Interior got abused all day in the run game, but Cincy has 2 very good DT's. _________________

On the first pick Decker just quit on the route. On the second pick PM had two defenders come off the right side unblocked at him. I don't know if he was just trying to get rid of it or actually throw it at the WR and just overthrew him.
The interior OL was disrupted in the run game all day long. I'm not discouraged though because the Bengals have a very good DL especially inside.
On a side note, anybody know how Kuper is and if he'll miss extended time? _________________

I heard it's not broken and he's scheduled for an MRI in the morning. |

They do? Peko has looked bad this season and most teams run all over the Bengals. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |

Unfortunately I won't be able to do any all 22 reviewing for a while now my internet is down at my flat. My girlfriend wasn't particularly happy at me ignoring her for 3 hours to watch the game live, so I don't think watching a replay of the game at her place would sit very well _________________

He is relentless. The Bengals defense is good. They just make mistakes that hurt them. Missed tackles and missed assignments will kill any team. _________________ GO BRONCOS! |
