What can you guys tell me about Kiko Alonso as an NFL prospect? Is he a "jack-of-all-trades" type of linebacker who is solid in several areas but not necessarily elite in any one specific area? Anything you can tell me about him as a prospect would be much appreciated. _________________

Yep, He's a very physical guy, really solid getting off blocks, but also extremely athletic. His arms are freakishly long, as you can see in some pictures. But he's been really good in zone coverage and gets a lot of tipped balls and gets a good amount of interceptions. He's definitely that solid jack of all trades LB, probably best suited as a 34 ILB or 43 Sam. _________________

That is exactly what I was wondering about. Where do you think he stacks up against some other projectable 3-4 ILBs like A.J. Klein, Jake Knott, Chase Thomas, Shayne Skov, Michael Mauti, Demetrius Hartsfield, Gerald Hodges? What round do you see Alonso grading out to when it is all said and done? _________________

Here is an article that in-part talks about some of the past brushes with the law Alonso has faced.
| Quote: | Just shy of one and a half years ago, Kiko Alonso was booked into Lane County Jail, accused of burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
It wasn’t the first incident for the University of Oregon middle linebacker. A year earlier, he faced a DUII suspension and a torn ACL — his poor luck and poorer decisions combining to keep him from the field. Alonso’s May 1, 2011, arrest couldn’t have come at a worse time, either. Oregon head coach Chip Kelly, already feeling heat from other players’ off-the-field indiscretions, had held a press conference hours earlier to announce a crackdown on misbehavior.
It’s impossible to know how the notoriously private Los Gatos, Calif., native envisioned his future. But certainly few around him could’ve predicted this. |

hahah, he's got the best arrest story ever....lol
He broke into someones house, which he thought was his friends house, and fell asleep on the couch (people have told me naked, but i dont know about that...lol), and when the owners of the house came home, he tried tackling them and fighting them for supposedly breaking into what he thought was his friends house....LOL
But yeah, he needs to quit drinking...lol _________________

or sucker punch other players | When you aren't the little brother you can hit human punks. If you are the little brother you, well use farm animals. _________________

I think you will see Kiko as a 4-3 SAM. The man is a jakc of all trades and should fly up draft boards. He showed out during the Rose Bowl and I am really interested in him as a prospect I haven't had a chance to see him play this year _________________
