He's asked to be traded apparently. He's in the final year of his contract.
Let's hear your thoughts. What's he worth to ya? |
I've seen a lot of threads putting a 4th round value on him. I'm not sure that is where he should be though. While he was a 3rd round pick and has shown obvious talent, he has never seemed to put together more than 1-2 great games a year since he was drafted. Of course that could say more about how they have been utilizing him than how he has played. It's hard to stand out when you are on the field less than 50% of the snaps. As far as trade value, I'm thinking 5th round pick. I doubt they would take that considering they would probably get that in compensatory pick letting him go in FA. _________________

Yeah, I'm really wondering what people are going to say. I haven't watched the Titans play this season at all. He's big and athletic. We know that. His production has been up and down though and apparently this season he's struggling to get playing time and stay ahead of the other TEs on the Titans roster.
I'm wondering what people who've watched him think. Is he like Bennett for Dallas? Over-rated? Bennett is doing better with Eli Manning but he's still not producing game-in, game-out. He's had a couple good games to my knowledge. Hardly a career change.

I think hes a very good pass catching type TE with more speed than ours have. I think he could be the threat we need at that position and there is film showing that he can already produce. I would be willing to give a 3rd. _________________

Not more than Clay plus a contract, 4th. Midseason, having to learn the playbook, playing behind two young guys recently drafted; 6th. _________________

Clay has been a bust this season and has no shown any improvement. I would give up a 4th for him if he signs an extension. Cook is not being used correctly in tenn. He is a physical freak and has shown flashes. If there is a TE with his potential that can be had I the 4th then by all mean pass but I don't think there is. _________________

5th or 6th. A guy already demanding a trade that cannot block anyone. PASS _________________

At this point, pass. Can't catch up fast enough to help us this year, IMO.
I am really starting to lean trade back in the draft, if we pick between 10-20. After that, I would be drafting Eifert. Big, good hands and can block. Its what we need. Now would I like to have Cook and Eifert? Yes, if Egnew goes nowhere in his development. _________________ - "Who, I love Rich Camarillo." Quote from the Fish's play by play crew. |

He has to be our pick in the first round. It will upgrade our offense so much having a big seam threat at TE. Him and Fasano would be a very good duo for a few years. Eifert is just about the only guy I can think of that would be a perfect first round pick at this point. _________________

| I like cook but would not trade a draft pick for him. I wouldnt mind signing him in free agency for a reasonable contract |
