Pretty simple. Do we give Whiz 1 more year to try and make this thing work or do we move on?
Let's hear it guys, I want all opinions. _________________

Move on.
He can't evaluate quarterbacks and we are on the verge of having the worst offense in football.
Three straight seasons of offensive ineptitude.
Clean house on the offensive side and make Ray your head coach.
Our offensive ranks the last three seasons...
2010-31st
2011-19th
2012-31st
17-23 in his last three seasons... _________________

If Kurt Warner wasn't a Cardinal, would Whiz still be here anyway? _________________

I think he gets one more year but with a extremely hot seat. _________________

Probably not though without Whiz, Warner never would have left the bench. _________________

I like to see him go because of the fact that this offense has no clue what it wants to be. Does he go? I don't see it happening this year. _________________

one thing to keep in mind guys, if Whiz is fired and Horten is promoted, how much of the offensive staff remains? What if Horton and Miller, or Horten and Grimm have a great relationship and he keeps them around.
Having said that, I would love to see Ray Horton running this team, hopefully he can re-build our offense as well. _________________

That's a very valid concern. _________________

We all seem to think Horton would make an excellent coach and I'd bet the majority would want him taking over this team at some point. However, do you think he will be given a pass on this season? This year's D has not played well since the 1st few games. Tackling alone has been an issue over and over. Even those who have hinted that last night was not that bad have to admit that no good D let's a QB complete 18 of 19 or allows a RB to run at will up their gut! It's not just the offense coming up short as of late and the defensive woes have to fall to a great extent on Horton's shoulders IMHO. _________________

The way this team looks, they look destined to finish below 8-8 but if we can't win more than two games, he really should be fired. That would mean this team ended up going 2-10, 1-11, or 0-12 to end the year.
Whiz has to own up to not developing any QBs and Grimm has to own up to not fielding a competent offensive line in his tenure here. How long has this team struggled to create lanes in the run game and protect the QB? We can blame it on not drafting players for him, but this is a business that does not care for excuses. Grimm and Whiz have not delivered so it may be time to go. _________________

Grimm should receive ZERO excuses with his salary. _________________

| Fire ken, miller,Grimm promote horton, and someone posted last night that we should get Norv turner to run the offense that would be awesome. I never forgave wiz for running leinart out of zona. Was he the qb he should have been? Who knows because he never got a chance. You look at Alex smith dude struggled he gets a new head coach whose like hey you got this I think you can lead this team to a Super Bowl. And all leinart got was open competitions against journeymen qbs. |

| Can't see Whiz lasting here more than another year. No QB and no OL? That's hard to fix in a single year and yet he had many years before to do something about it. The Kolb trade didn't work out. He kept ignoring the OL. He drafted RBs and WRs instead. He built this offense from the outside-in. That's not how you built a good offense. You need to build from the inside-out. His offensive prowess is absolutely terrible. He's making Kolb/Skelton run a Warner-like offense and we've yet to see Steeler football since he took over. |
