Should the Browns do anything and if so what?
Steve Smith of the panthers is on the Block.
If he could be had for a 3rd i would do it in a heartbeat.
Our young WR's would grow so much learning from a true pro like that.
Also I think the cardinals would have to have some intrest in Colt. Watching them now and there QB stinks. _________________

If so, I'd suspect we would be sellers, not buyers. If the right deal was there then sure, but there would probably be a contending team that is willing to offer more.
Also, for the right price I'd deal Colt. He doesn't offer much once the weather turns anyway. _________________

Me too, but I expect he'd have no interest in playing for us. Though he just signed a contract extension so wherever he goes he's staying or retiring. _________________

Would think Smith would want to go somewhere like Houston and be a #2 on a contender _________________

i would legit feel bad for AZ fans if they pick up another scrub QB. they're going for a QB early in the draft. |

There is no way I give up a 3rd for Smith. Although he may have that type of value to the right team, we will likely have a high pick in the 3rd round. Plus any way you cut it I do not want to take time away from Gordon, Little, Cooper and Benjiman. I want those guys playing, and even though Smith is better today, I would much rather have our guys and keep our 3rd round pick.
If the trade is for a 6th or 7th rounder, that is a different story. Isn't Steve Smith like 35 years old? _________________

What is the obsession with some to bemoan the lack of depth the team has while simultaneously looking to trade said depth at the most important position on the team??
Colt McCoy is where he should be - backing up a more talented, more accurate, stronger armed QB while continuing to learn the nuances of the WCO we currently use. If called upon I have little doubt he could step in and play respectably well, trading some of those strong armed throws for (hopefully) open slots using his mobility, which is what we'd want a backup to do. Does anyone really want to see an untested QB step in if Weeden missed time with injury??
As for Smith, I have always loved the guy - he's got fire, attitude, great hands and even at 33, still has his wheels. Because of his age though, I gotta think a 3rd would be too much for him (assuming 2 years of production) ... but I'd offer a fourth in a heartbeat. |

Braylon lol. What a dolt. For the 2nd year in a row, he's inactive on game days late in the year, and his team is in contention. Stay away. Stay far away. _________________ Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Just strictly a rumor here.
Schefter has heard rumblings that the Browns are shopping MoMass. Trade deadline is today (4:00 EST, I believe). _________________ Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Kevin Kolb has actually played fairly well this season. In six games, he's thrown for 1,169 yards, 59.6 CMP%, 8 TDs, 3 INTs and a QB rating of 86.1. The Cardinals went 4-2 with him and have now gone winless since he's been injured and Skelton has taken over.
It's definitely possible that Arizona still drafts a QB early, but I don't think it's a for sure thing. Especially considering how much money they've invested into Kolb. _________________ Cleveland Browns Forum Hall of Fame Inductee |

I doubt they'd get much for him. They might as well trade him if they plan on letting him go at the end of the season, though. Too bad he can't stay healthy because he was playing fairly well and it appeared he finally took the next step. _________________ Cleveland Browns Forum Hall of Fame Inductee |

Would make sense. Last year of contract. cap friendly contract. We have a bunch of young guys emerging.
Won't get much for him though, maybe a 6th.. _________________ 2013 First Ballot Recipient of the Joe Blackburn Award |

at this point i'd take a 6th. he hasn't been on the field this year and our other WRs are actually somewhat explosive now.
sucks that its another blown 2nd rounder. that whole draft was pretty bad minus Mack. |
