Don't blame him although it hasn't really been made official that he's asked for a trade. Kind of jumping the gun here. Our OC is so dumb and doesn't get him on the field enough. He has top 5 potential but he can't reach it unless he's on the field.
Quote: | @jwyattsports: #Titans TE Jared Cook has played less than 50 percent of the team's snaps in 4 of the team's 8 games this season |
This is pathetic. _________________

Damn, I'd imagine there'd be a market for the guy. Cook scares me a lot as an opposing team, just a mismatch nightmare. So what - the guy can't block. Doesn't matter when you're as big as he is with his ball skills and speed, go the Jimmy Graham route and use him as an oversized WR.
Tampa Bay would be a good spot - you know that Dallas Clark is aged, and bringing in Cook to play alongside the stable of WRs they have would be pretty scary as well as give them another younger player to grow with this team.
EDIT: Missed the BIG one here, Washington. Fred Davis is out, Chris Cooley isn't the player he once was, and nobody in Washington can seem to catch a football. Why not bring in Cook to work with RG III? _________________

That's what they did last year and he had his best season as a pro. Great numbers last year. This year he can't get on the field. Having Hasselbeck at QB isn't ideal for Cook because frankly Hasselbeck can't go deep very well at all, but Cook has made some big plays this year nonetheless.
If I had to guess I'd say Cook's just tired of the uncertainty here and is ready to cash in before his window closes. |

a 4th for him. We need a pass catching TE.
While Kendricks has potential, We use him a blocker.
Kendricks is pretty damm good at blocking, Come on Fisher!!

Better offer more then a 4th. You'll need at least a 3rd. _________________

This is something the Browns need to think about.
Ben Watson is one hit from retirement. Alex Smith is LOL. Cameron is coming along nicely, but he's not an all around TE, he's more of a down the field weapon.
So we have no depth and our only real weapon is a 2nd year guy who is a converted BBall player.

Giving the circumstances the Titans should definitely trade him.
There is half a season to go and the Titans aren't going to compete for a Superbowl title this season, Cook asking for the trade pretty much says he won't want to re-sign with the team when he hits free-agency anyway and they are using Craig Stevens over him because he's a superior blocker and they have rookie Taylor Thompson who could develop into the receiving TE option in the future locked up for years to come.
Might aswell get value.
By the way, any Titans fan thinking they would get anything higher than a 5th round pick is crazy, no one will pay more [they will probably pay less actually] for a TE who is going to hit free-agency in 8 games... even if they do manage to work out a long-term deal which isn't certain to happen. _________________

So 3-13? jk..
I would deff love to see what team ends up with him if he's moved.
Such a big guy but he can dance.. Would suck for TN to lose him. _________________

You have to make that trade, especially since he's asking and you will not get any value for him at the end of the year. _________________

A third for potentially only 8 games when your team is going no where and he clearly doesn't want to be there? _________________

If all the Titans can get is a 5th, then they should just keep him. They'd probably get a 5th (or so) as a comp pick, and they'd also still get his services for the last 8 games. You don't want your players dictating when/if they get traded, and given the low payback, they should just keep him. _________________ Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Not sure what kind of actual value can be had here.
I'd be willing to part with a 4th this year and a conditional late rounder next year that could jump up to another 3rd or 4th depending on the provision in the trade. _________________
