It was awkward looking, I thought for a moment Lauvao was going to make the tackle.

File this in the "even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes" department.

There was a play in the 1st half, something like 2nd and 4 or 5. Gordon & Little came out, and Cribbs & Benji went in. I said to my son "here comes a trick play" (loud enough for others to hear it). The ball is snapped, and it was the failed double reverse to Benji.

The people in my section treated me like a wizard the rest of the day, lol.

yep, my point exactly... not fair.

Happens to us every year.

The year after we beat Pittsburgh, Big Ben was suspended, 6 games, but everyone knew it would be reduced to 4. Then they had a week 5 bye followed by a home game against us.

Biggest shaft in the history of the NFL.

yeah but that was only their first meeting of the year.

im just irked by this because its second game of the year. I just think its dumb as hell to schedule a bye week for a division foe for their second match up of the year. I feel like the ravens are gonna come out with an amazing game plan

Home games after byes are almost auto-wins

Does anyone else find it somewhat annoying that all of the sudden Jim Brown is coming out of the woodwork telling the media that once dubbed "ordinary back" Trent Richardson is now "his boy"? Interesting that he is coming back now after Haslam bought the team.

The whole story may never come out, but there was a pretty serious rift between Lerner and Brown. Then Holmgren and Brown. There were reports that Holmgren and Brown patched things up, but not so with Lerner. Again, it's all hearsay and rumors.

While I never took Jim Brown seriously (off the field), it's still a better situation to have one of your franchise icons be on good terms with the team than not.

I look more to the point that Brown came out with the remarks about Trent being ordinary and not special, then all of a sudden the Browns and Jim reunite and now Jim did a 180 on Trent. It's just funny

Weeden looks like someone from an outdated Grand Theft Auto game.

Well, that is just the way things work. Different perspective. How many people here hated the thought of drafting Weeden in the 3rd round? Quite a few. Many of those warmed up to him before preseason even started, because he became "part of the family". Now that Brown is invited back to be with this dysfunctional family, he will embrace Trent.

A lot of it was sour grapes. Okay, the whole thing was probably sour grapes, ignore the 1st paragraph Laughing

John Greco for starting LG!!!!!

This has really, really stood out to me. Pinkston sucks at pulling. He always had, and he's never made any improvement to that area.

The Browns really like to pull the LG to the right on a power run play. With Pinkston in, I think it's made the whole right side of the OL look worse, b/c all he would do is get in the way.

Enter Greco.

He pulls to the right, and actually blocks someone, and does it well.

And you all argued with me.

This is what I had to say about them in the thread you made some time ago.

I'll have to go back and watch both of the guards. I have been right in the middle of both of them. Pinkston has done a fine job pass blocking. He's better in the run game this year, but fails to pick up a guy sometimes completely. Lauvao is a good run blocker, but sucks at getting to the second level. Gets turned around in Pass Pro as well. On the ground too much as well.

Either way, neither have improved like I would have hoped.

And I know I've mentioned at some point before about Pinkston's inability to pull and pick up someone. Other than that, I'll stand by what I said. But the difference between Pinkston and Greco is a large margin. Hopefully, Greco can keep it up. He'll have a good challenge on his hands next week against Ngata.
