if gabbert misses exteneded time this year, it could be the worst thing that could happen for us. it will predicate the notion that we need to let gabbert start another year because this one was mulliganed by injury. _________________

I honestly think at this point there's no way we don't draft a QB... Gabbert hasn't proved he can be consistent and I don't see the team getting any more patient. _________________

I said the same thing. And for all the Gene Smith haters, it possibly gives him reason to stay another year if otherwise he would have been let go.
Hopefully we draft another QB and get in a situation like what SD was in with Brees and Rivers, but do so where we can flip one for more than the cost of either one. _________________

Gabbert's development (or lack thereof) was the only thing worth looking forward to for the rest of the season. This sucks so bad. _________________

This is worst case scenario, right here.
The only thing redeeming about the rest of the year was looking at Gabbert to see if he could be the guy, and now we probably won't be able too.
It's gonna be interesting what we do in the draft. _________________

You know I have been thinking about it alot since Sunday. I would rather trade back for a ransom than pick up Barkely or Geno. This team has so many holes what Position does this team NOT need major help at, LT,MLB an safety are the only ones I can think of. It's sad when you really think about it.
The plan should be too accumulate draft picks and take a flyer on a guy like Aaron Murphy or Landry Jones and then let whoever loses out between them an Gabbert be the backup. _________________ ...What? |

Aaron Murray? Maybe. I want nothing to do with Landry Jones. _________________

I don't like Bray. Too many red flags. I don't know much at all about Thomas. _________________

Bray is about to be benched.
Murray is too small with questions about his mechanics and arm.
Thomas is a mess all over and not making progress.
If we go with a QB, Ryan Applin of Arkansas State is a Murray clone with a better arm and mechanics...but just as small. _________________

Aaron Murray, Logan Thomas, Tyler Wilson, Tyler Bray, Mike Glennon. Obviously all of these guys have question marks and I don't really have an opinion on these guys yet but I think at this point it would be better too have 6 top 40 players over the next 2 drafts then grab Geno or Barkely and have 4. This team just needs so many starters.... who knows its October _________________ ...What? |

Yeah, I just made a thread about Aplin. I like him alot.......in the 4th-7th round. He is small though, which sucks. _________________

Id trade for Mallett. Maybe the Pats would take gabbert and a low pick for him. Then also draft a QB this upcoming year with the 1st overall pick because thats pretty much set in stone now. _________________
