Our only hope of getting one of those top flight WR free agents is if Gene isn't the GM. You know he isn't down with big name free agents. Pro bowlers are overrated!

Torry Holt was a 7 time Pro Bowler and two time All Pro.
Kampman was a two time All Pro/Pro Bowler.
Pos was an alternate.
Kampy, Pos and Session were all big name Free Agents with what was thought to be prime years left.

torry holt was over the hill and everyone knew he was basically done. weak.
kampman was another player over the hill, i don't know how you could say he was thought to have "prime" years left, though he was expected to at least produce some if not for his injuries. again though, not really comparable to a top ten wideout in their prime.
Poz is your best example, but again, a solid MLB compared to a top ten WR in their prime.. no comparison. Session is not what i would call a big name free agent.
none of those guys would command the amount of money as the free agent wideouts you listed, so again, the situations aren't comparable. Aint gonna happen pablo. I wish it would, but it won't. Perhaps another GM would take that kind of initiative, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

he is a premier run defender but gets abused in coverage.
the point is not lost on you, I imagine you understand the difference between Poz and Greg jennings.
