I was looking at some 2013 free agent lists and I was thinking, will Peyton be able to help recruit some FA's like John Elway used to ? Elway's presence alone was a factor for several FA acquisitions when he was playing, can the same be said about Peyton playing here ? |

oh for sure. I think he may help more than he did in Indy. Denver is already a pretty attractive working spot. |

Dreessen, Tamme and Caldwell came partly because of Peyton. Hopefully, we can step up our FA recruting efforts next offseason. Porter was the biggest 'star' to sign with Denver in a while. With a successful campaign this season, I expect the Broncos to be able to land at least one actual star FA- if we choose to do so, of course. Our performance with Manning and the prospect of playing for a Peyton led team itself will help to achieve that. _________________ The situation is hopeless, but not serious. |

Definitely. Manning will have more impact even more this coming offseason because I'm sure some players were iffy. Now that Manning is 2nd in the league on the stat chart hopefully we can sign a big name WR. Maybe Jennings? _________________

Don't fall in love with the idea of Greg Jennings. He will not be a Bronco. It makes no sense for us to pay him what he would be seeking.
We need to sign Clady, Miller, Porter, Thomas etc etc, we can't afford to throw cash at Jennings, as much as I'd love him.
Felix Jones is intriguing though. _________________

Maualuga is awful. I hope he never sniffs the field here. _________________

First priority is locking up Ryan Clady. I was the first guy to bash him after his very subpar season in 2011. But he is IMO having his best season as a Bronco. He obviously didn't work well with Tebow's chaotic play as the QB. Scramblng all over the field like a chicken with its head cut off didn't suit what Clady does well. _________________

This is from my earlier post in the college thread about FAs that should be on our list: Marcel Reece, Delanie Walker, Greg Jennings, Joshua Cribbs, Carlos Clemons, Henry Melton, Randy Starks, Kelvin Hayden and Greg Toler. The ones in italics are the group of players I think we could actually sign a couple from. A few multi-purpose offensive weapons, a DE and DTs as well as CB depth. _________________ The situation is hopeless, but not serious. |

Henry Melton has been a beast this year; he is going to get PAID this Summer. _________________

Agreed. He's just another Joe Mays. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |

He's a better tackler than Mays but he's probably worse at play recognition, coverage, and outside pursuit. He's a very limited player who is having a terrible season. I don't want Maualuga anywhere near Denver.
Being better than a corpse(Brooking) doesn't mean he's worth pursuing. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |
