So explain this to me. If Suh is told to focus 100% on getting to the QB, how come his counterparts are more successful at getting to the QB than he is? | b/c he's doubled and tripled on every play, duh |
Every play? No.
More than any other Lions D-lineman? Yes. |

THEY AREN'T! Suh is doubled more than any other defensive lineman for the Lions by a very wide margin, last year it worked pretty well...this year he's learning how to deal with it much better and leads the team in sacks despite that fact. |
Geno Atkins is doubled more than any other D-Linemen on the Bengals. Yet he's constantly causing havoc, plus he's great against the run. There hasn't been a single game this season where Geno wasn't constantly doubled.
Melton is starting to get that attention as well... |

He honestly doesn't deserve THAT much hate for how he's playing. He's not bad by any stretch of the imagination, but he's not a #2 pick and certainly not a #2 defensive tackle. This guy should be an absolute force on Detroit's line and there is an argument to be made that he isn't even the best DT in his division right now. I don't know if he has the mentality to change that. This isn't because I'm a Packer fan who hates the Lions either. I just see Suh for what he is. An underachieving hot head that has about twice as much physical capability as mental. I don't blame Detroit for drafting them where they did one bit. Anyone who's seen the guy's college tape knows why. _________________

After the 49ers crushed them with that play last year, I figured it wouldn't work this year but it was still very effective. |

It's funny. The GM repeated the exact same things I said about Suh after his rookie year(except in a much more brash way). Those things got me labeled a "Suh hater". _________________
