I'd pay to see John L. Smith try that in the Arkansas locker room. No one would catch him. _________________

Yea...that was ugly. Doege looked awful and our O-line looked like it got abducted and replaced by Dallas' line. _________________

And no one should. Of course, I was firmly behind the idea of giving him a lifetime contract when he coached Michigan State. _________________

Texas Tech welcomes West Virginia to Lubbock Saturday...that should be fun.
Our only chance is that WV is a little worn out from traveling to Texas 2 straight weeks. Other than that, we don't have a whole lot of hope.
Which means lots and lots and lots of alcohol Saturday. _________________

Few teams in the country have a reasonable chance at beating WVU. That offense is ridiculous. The defense? Yeah, not so much. _________________

Shootout. Red River Shootout. |
I've heard both actually - and Rivalry tends to be more common. In fact if you google "RRS" the first several results all say "RRR"
Sure am glad you came back plan so you could go around trying to critique everything. _________________

Learn your history by actually reading your link:
Red River Shootout
| Quote: | | Until the 2005 meeting, the 100th meeting between the schools, the game was called the Red River Shootout. In 2005, it was sponsored by SBC Communications, and the game was officially renamed the SBC Red River Rivalry, with the word "Rivalry" replacing "Shootout" out of a desire not to convey an attitude of condoning gun violence |
It's no critique, MH. You didn't even appear to read the fifth sentence in the lead paragraph of that article. It was changed 7 years ago because a corporate sponsor changed it to be politically correct. So RRR is not "more common". It's just newer and used for the sake of being politically correct. Nothing more.
So there's no need to get all defensive and overly sensitive over this. You just clearly lack the knowledge of the history of that game and it's name. _________________

When was 2005 part of the 1990s? The last time I checked, removing 7 from 2012 doesn't turn that number into 19-anything.
Here's more math for you:
In the 106 (soon to be 107) meetings of the Red River Shootout, it has been called the Red River Shootout for 94.3% of the games. I'm sure glad you feel that 5.7% is greater than 94.3%. _________________
