|
|
|
I've noticed that sometimes, usually around nighttime, the forum operates very slowly. It'll take 30 sec to a min (or longer) to simply load a new page or have the 'post a reply' window pop up.
Just wondering if there's a reason for that. My internet isn't a problem - I'm able to browse other sites / stream videos / play online games without a hitch. Is the forum undergoing maintenance periodically or is there some other reason?
Just curious and concerned. Thanks. _________________

Been having the same issues for the past 7 or so hours now. Something up with the forums? Too many people online? _________________ Come Follow The Great NSFL!

Usually when it happens for me there is a little tab in the bottom of Firefox and it says Transferring data from some ad net site. Not sure if there is an ad hanging it up when it happens or maybe so sort of avatar hosting site that slows it down. But yea I have the same problem pretty often. It happens with IE for me at work too. _________________

Try using a different internet browser while you're experiencing this to help pinpoint the problem. _________________

So I've been having major slowness because of "waiting for tag.contextweb.com" to load.
Searching the googles, it seems like a lot of other message boards experienced the same issue and decided to just turn it off. I cleared the entire cache on google chrome and it started running much quicker but when it started loading tag.contextweb.com again, it started slowing down. Talking about <15 seconds to load a page.
Anyone else notice that? |

Yea..
I have to refresh every page about 10 times for this.
I just switched to subsilver. Seems like it has helped.

Waiting for tag.contextweb.com
that has been my issue. It just says that in the bottom corner of Firefox and all I get are the top lines with Faq, Profile, PMs & Log out then the FF logo & the top advertisement...Nothing else loaded. |

Thanks switching to subsilver worked great. But yeah fixing tag.contextweb.com load times would be ideal... |

I pulled the contextweb.com ads and the forum should load normally again. Sorry for the inconvenience. |
