This just goes to show you that anyone that wears the number 5 in Washington, doesn't really bode well. McNabb, Cundiff, [player not to be named from Tennessee]... _________________

| The non-football injury kept out a full year was a quad injury -- Bad news for a kicker -- Hope it's all healed up after a year + .. |

Thank you Shanahan for seeing what was obvious - Cundiff was not the right choice in the first place. _________________

I'm glad we went with Forbath. Young guy, talented and plenty of room to grow. Hopefully he's solid from the beginning.
He's even younger than Gano by 5 months. _________________

Wasn't sure,if anyone already posted but they cut Markus White as well amd signed a lb off the ColtsPS.
| Quote: | The Redskins announced today that they have signed free agent kicker Kai Forbath and signed linebacker Mario Addison from the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad.
In corresponding moves, the team also released kicker Billy Cundiff and waived linebacker Markus White. |

| Quote: | During the 2012 preseason, Forbath was 5-of-5 on field goal attempts, including connecting on two attempts of 50 yards or more (51 and 55).
Forbath, 25, played collegiately at UCLA, where he was a 2009 consensus All-American and won the 2009 Lou Groza Award, given to the top place kicker in college football. He was also named by coaches as a first-team All-Pac 10 selection in 2009 and second-team All-Pac 10 in 2008 and 2010.
Forbath finished his collegiate career as the NCAA record holder for most career games with two or more field goals made (31) and is tied for the record of most career games of at least three field goals made (13). |

If he was 5 for 5 in preseason, 2 of which were from beyond 50, why was he cut by the Bucs? Connor Barth is that much better? _________________ RIP SSF
