Every time Vick has the ball in his hands, which is every offensive play, I get a little too nervous. It's crazy how much more careful McNabb was with the football, even though he had his obvious limitations as well. |
Wormburners are you friends! |
You joke but I remember a vast majority in this forum whinning about just that. Mcnabb was smart enough not to force things to live another day and was crucified constantly for it for "not trusting his WR to make a play and being inaccurate". Vicks the polar opposite. Have to live with the consequences for that mentality. It's not like we have Megatron, Fitz, or AJ to just chuck the ball up to and prey. _________________

I never whined about McNabb, He did the smart thing. Either the receiver catches it, or no one does - it's smart play, like sliding. _________________

Not all RB do that at all time, it also slows you down. _________________

They should, though. Just like players should use their chin straps, but they don't. Just because they don't do something it doesn't make it proper technique. Like Asante wouldn't wrap up. _________________

This is why you have to turn him into a game manager like Alex Smith. You take Jason Avant out of the game and insert Damaris Johnson so that he can do some of the things in the slot that a handful of other short WRs are doing around the NFL. McCoy, Damaris, Havili, and Celek then become your go to players with Desean, Maclin, and Vick being your big play higher risk guys. This all will create a more sustained offense with fewer turnovers. The Eagles have proven that they can't score even when attempting to implement the downfield offense. So the Eagles need to go full conservative at this point to at least be a low scoring team with low turnovers instead of a low scoring team with high turnovers. |

I agree, but there's a reason why Shady normally haven't fumbled a lot. He puts it up tight when contact is near, he have a sixth sense for that. (Probably jinxed Shady into 3 fumbles against Lions). _________________

How many 3rd down reception? But agreed, you have a 4th down for a reason. _________________

That and they can't catch him
Plus Shady has fumbled this season, I hate how he holds the ball. It is super unsecured and it's only a matter of time before defenders start swatting at it. _________________

I think that's the reason he's a role player. I agree, he's not good at gaining separation, but he catches almost anything thrown at him. _________________

The slot receiver isn't a role player in our offense, he's a starter. _________________

Wrong wording, he's our what 5th or 6th option in our offense. _________________

If he's out there he should be making a difference. _________________
