Here is an article from freep.com that calls several lions players, management and coaches overrated.

One curious point is the mention of Matt Millen not having the 'right people' around him to succeed. I really would love to have a name associated with this line in particular. If anyone thinks Millen is anything short of a buffoon they are really going out on a limb....
I suspect it is someone associated with the previous regime that is trying to reconcile the 0-16, or someone that currently works with a lions coach from the Millen 0-16 regime? |

Other than the Millen thing and Suh not being good and "all hype team". They might be pretty spot on.
Mayhew might be SLIGHTLY over-rated. He's a good GM imo still but he's not "Great". I think he's done a VERY good job though with what he's had. The opposing GM fails to acknowledge alot of Mayhews good trades that brought quality players here( Schfeller, Houston, Jackson, Sims. )
Schwartz... Idk, Prolly right to start to give him some slack for all this crap now. He can still EASILY turn this around but, needs to manage games better and idk need performance from him, and his other staffers. |

Mayhew and Schwartz have both failed to do the one thing that immediately upgrades this team, and that is firing Danny Crossman.

It's not an upgrade unless you can replace him with someone. If you replace him with one of his subordinates, you're just replacing Danny Crossman with a less-competent Danny Crossman.
