If you guys want a dangerous ILB, Sean Porter from TAMU would be a great fit for Ray Horton's A Gap blitzes. Sideline to sideline speed and he had 9.5 sacks as a 3-4 OLB last year. Playing 4-3 OLB this year. Can play 4-3 OLB, 3-4 OLB or 3-4 ILB. I'd say he's best off as a 3-4 ILB or 4-3 WLB. He's around 6'2" 230. Probably will play in the NFL at 235 or 240. _________________

You think Snyder has a strangle hold on that position? I doubt we'd take a guard in the first, but couldn't a 2nd or 3rd rounder beat him out? |
A 2nd or 3rd rounder beat out a decent player? Under Ken Whisenhunt?
Not happening. |
I take this back. _________________

Snyder is so bad. I'd rather have Hadnot. _________________

In fairness Syder does have some sort of injury holding him back be he's always been just an average guard even when healthy. Can't believe he got a 5 year contract. |

I'd like to know how Snyder would play at full strength but regardless this has pretty obviously been a failed venture. _________________

If you could've played GM over the last 3 years and put together a realistic OL, not even Madden-like, but a real OL, Snyder would be a backup...maybe. His struggle to pass protect decreases his value even as a swing G.
Of course, fantasies are just that. We have to deal with the reality - the hand we've been dealt. The more I've thought about this, the more I think it makes sense to give Kelemete some snaps this week at RG. The Bills don't blitz so he likely wouldn't be in over his head and the offensive gameplan will probably include quite a few passes. As the backup LG, he likely has at least some of the coach's confidence that he can pass block. If the team had a lead in the 2nd half, I'd try it and see where he's at. And it would be a legitimate test as he'd be facing Dareus. If nothing else, if Dareus starts getting by Snyder and regularly pressuring Kolb, I'd also give Kelemete a try then over Ohrnberger. _________________
