| Quote: | | Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said during his Monday press conference that they have been granted a roster exemption until Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. for tight end Weslye Saunders, who is able to return to the team today following his four game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance. |

I forgot about his skills in Haley's scheme, looks like even more O If only the D can get better and running can be consistent. |

So...who do you cut?
Pope has been less than impressive but Paulson most likely would clear waivers.
Also this may have been the point they were considering releasing a safety, but now.. _________________

no way we keep 4 TE's IMO. Between Paulson and Pope. I'd guess Pope as it seems he's seeing the field less and less, and deservedly so. I'd guess Golden as an option, but no way now with Polamalu hurt. |

I think Pope gets cut. He was not in many plays on Sunday. _________________

Yepp, and Pope is a Haley guy. Wonder if Tomlin will keep Pope to keep Haley happy. Just all conjecture from my part. |

Pope has shown nothing. Neither has Paulsen really.
They may both say on THIS year, but beyond 2012, I think Pope is gone. _________________

Somebody has to go by or after Friday. Id say Pope also. I wasN't thrilled with Saunders in pre season and have always had concerns with effort, he's one of those guys cursed with ability in a way. I'd still let Pope go though , especially if Tomlin is comfortable that Saunders knows as much as or similar to Pope. _________________

I was thinking they could throw Paulson on the practice squad, but I dont know if they would do it (or even could do it at this point).
But yes....Pope would be the first to go IMO. At least Paulson has some upside, even if he hasnt really shown anymore than Pope has. _________________
