| Quote: | | “I’m definitely looking forward to it tomorrow. It’s a chance to say thanks to the fans and teammates and coaches,” Faulk said, via Chrisopher Price of WEEI. “It’s been a wonderful experience to play for the Patriots. Of course, it was a difficult decision, but it wasn’t something that was difficult because I knew this day was coming.” |
Faulk was originally drafted in the 2nd round of the 1999 draft out of LSU by the Patriots, he went on to establish himself as one of the best 3rd down backs in the league with elite pass blocking and receiving skills out of the backfield.
He spent 13 seasons with the Patriots, recording 3,607 yards rushing on 864 carries [4.2 average] and 3,701 receiving yards on 431 catches and a total of 33 touchdowns.
Faulk won SuperBowl XXXVI, SuperBowl XXXVIII and SuperBowl XXXIX with the Patriots.

For some reason I was under the impression he had already retired. Great player, hopefully he goes into broadcasting like Bruschi and Harrison just to add another really biased former Patriots player We need more of them. _________________

Was one of a small group (Brady, Harrison, Samuel, McGinest) that made you feel absolutely sure someone would come up when it really mattered. _________________

I felt so bad for both of them being inactive. The harsh realities of football as a business. _________________

Wouldnt be surprised if him and Troy are together on comcast.
I have nothing bad to say about Faulk. Great player for us and would hate to see someone in #33 for awhile. _________________

Absolutely great player. Resume, team success, and the respect BB gave him speaks for itself.
I'm going to have to get a Faulk jersey sometime. _________________

Wow. That's heartwarming. The comments about Moss made by Wilfork and Faulk after his trade were really special to hear as a fan.
It's weird, too, about Faulk. Just seems like yesterday I was watching him in 08 thinking he'd never retire. _________________ Yo, is that time machine done yet? |

Aw.
#33 for life. KF was one of the shiftiest dudes in the NFL. He and Randy also go WAY back. When they were coming out of high school, Moss was the #1 ranked high school player in football. #2 was a certain running back from Louisiana named Kevin Faulk, "a better version of Marshall", he was advertised as. _________________
