I've been working on my latest Eagles mock, let me know what you guys think.
1 // Eric Reid, S, Louisiana State[trade up]
2 // Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
3 // Da'Rick Rodgers, WR, Tennessee[Tennessee Tech]
4 // Jelani Jenkins, WLB, Florida
5 // Seantrel Henderson, OT, Miami
6 // Brian Winters, OT, Kent State
6 // Rashard Hall, FS, Clemson
7 // Melvin White, CB, Louisiana Lafayette
I have us picking between 17-22 and this is assuming Peters is able to come back - also thinking Bowles is the next head coach and he like what he seen in Foles. _________________

Even with Peters good to go, I would prefer an OT to DT. But I like the rest. _________________

Isn't Williams more of a plugger than a rusher though - are we sticking with the wide 9? _________________

I believe he's 6'3 325, so I would imagine Antonio Dixon -ish _________________

Just seen Geno Smith's statline
| Quote: | | 81.4 percent completion percentage, 1,996 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, no interceptions |
That is ridiculous! _________________

Geno Smith is going #1 and there is zero doubt in my mind. I've been trumpeting that guy since last season. He's good, damn good. |

Agreed. Stats is a lot like RG3's last year, but more yards. _________________

It's not even about stats though. His deep ball is superb. His accuracy is superb. His pocket presence and pocket skills are much better than RGIII's. He's quite the athlete too when he decides to run it. He doesn't take many big hits. Ball placement is impeccable. Velocity is there. He's a football junkie who studies tape like crazy. And he has the "it" factor in spades, he's cool, calm and collected out there. |

Looks like it could be a very good draft for 4-3 OLB. I would love if we got one in 3-4th round. _________________

So what's the consensus of Dar'rick Rodgers? I hear he has great straight line speed and is tall. But was kicked off Tennessee's team because of off field issues? _________________

I think 36-81 compared him to Janoris Jenkins, which I think is fine. But it seems like Da'Rick was given more chances and just smoked or drinked over and over. And Jenkins got kicked off Florida for being caught smoking once or twice?
I'm intrigued due to size/speed, but I don't want to draft a guy in top 60 and he get's kicked out of the league 2 years later, because he can't control his smoking. _________________

Jenkins was sited for pot 2 times in 3 months, and was arrested in a barfight in 09. Rogers said "a couple" of drug tests led to his suspension from Tennessee, and by definition, a couple is 2, even if its 3, its only one more than Jenkins had in 3 months.
The same things were said about Percy Harvin, Jimmy Smith, Janoris Jenkins, and they were all drafted high and thus far have been okay. Rogers could be the best receiver in the class talent wise.
He's got a lot of Dwayne Bowe to his game, and can play the slot or versatility, he's a great talent that might be a top 10-15 guy if not for the off field. To get him in round 2 would be an absolute steal talent wise. Is there the potential there for him to get kicked out of the league? Sure, but its risk reward, and this team has shown the willingness to take guys with issues (we were hot on Jenkins last year, signed Michael Vick, and Brodrick Bunkley was arrested and Winston Justice was kicked off USC and we took both in the same class). _________________

I think we're fortunate that we have a strong set up, so we can take on these risks. It must also come down to a good scouting network. _________________

I think the second is to early for Da'Rick, think he'll be a third round pick, unless he kills the interviews. However, the kid is the number one receiving prospect[issues aside] this year. I've also read that he is extremely immature and that he was warned that any more issues would lead to him being kicked out of school[Janoris Jenkins was booted to send a message from WM, for example; Da'Rick was warned]. _________________
