I'm a huge fan of Hue Jackson for this offense. Huge, huge fan. _________________

I thought Rex was too.
Instead we're fist pumping field goals with Tony Sparano. |

Lol such is life as a Jets fan.
I tried to like the Sparano signing, I really did. But my fears have been realized, he's just as bad as Schotty. At least he's no nonsense, but making him the OC was a big mistake.
Its miraculous no one has told Greene to take a seat yet. I mean come on. You'd think he has some kind of blackmail on the coaching staff. |

Tried to find the most appropriate thread for this question...
If the Jets struggle for the next couple weeks do you think they'd consider trading D'Brick before the trade deadline? I know trades in the NFL midseason are rare but I bet AZ would empty their draft picks for him. Kinda creates a hole letting to a top LT in his prime but thought I'd ask for the helluva it. IIRC the deadline was pushed back to week 8... _________________

Brick is a cornerstone. Sanchez, Tebow, and McElroy would all be on IR after one game without him. This is not like baseball where a team is out of it and trades away one of their top players for some prospects. _________________

As much as I love to unload Ferguson but I doubt it. Ferguson is committed to Jets until he becomes senior citizen(13-15 years). Jets are not exactly a selling team. |

The Jets need all the players they can get at this point. Brick has been a cornerstone for years now. Trading him would only worsen the Jets offensively, and there are no viable replacement options.
The Jets really aren't in a position to sell any of their pieces. They're a team that's not very talented, and top heavy. Not a good combination. |

The future is scary, especially if we go back to the 4-3. _________________

Yeah im so glad we just selected a 4-tech DE when we needed the pass rushing OLB who was sitting there for the taking. Enough of Rex's hybrid defense. Just play the base 3-4. Coples might turn into a good player but he will NEVER be a good selection IMO. _________________

How about Rob Chudzinski as a HC candidate? _________________

What we need is a decent offensive mind. Sparano is nothing more than average and cant succeed with the talent on this roster. Rex is CLUELESS when it comes to the offense.
We need to either hire a premier offensive OC or replace Rex with a HC that understands you need to score points and not control the clock and grind out yards (without success). |

He's the guy, or at least the kind of guy, that should have been here since Sanchez' rookie season. With a better QB coach and a Sparano-type in place, this offense is pretty damn solid.
Sparano doesn't make bad play calls either. He just has crap to work with on offense.
I do agree though that with how dysfuntional this offense is, we need an elite offensive mind on this coaching staff. _________________

I mean, the Wilkerson pick made sense, but looking back he's still not really an every down DE. What does Wilkerson have that DeVito doesn't have besides the potential to be a decent pass rusher at some point? And we spent a first round pick on Wilkerson... _________________
