I'd give the award to our offense's pass pro AND to Alex. For a change, Alex barely got touched, and he rewarded us with a beauty of a game. _________________

Definitely Alex for me. One more shout out to the entire O-Line as well. And an honorable mention to Walker for 0 drops... _________________

Should have an o-line selection but I'm taking Smith all the way. Lights out today! Had a perfect QB rating until those last 2 incompletions which knocked him down to 156.2 _________________

should add a "TEAM" option to these ... cause that was just a complete team obliteration. _________________ *Free Joe Looney!

Smith today was on point with all his throws, good touch, played well in the pocket and when to run it. OL 2nd for me they were beastly _________________

O-line was definitely on another level today. Kyle Williams scared the crap out of me but it seemed like Goodwin did fine against him aside from goaline plays. _________________

Id say in this forum he's pretty underrated. People were a little too quick to jump on the attack when he let up a few sacks early in the year, but he's been pretty rock solid since. _________________

Most of the time, no matter how well Alex plays, I vote for someone else that came up with a big play or a game changer, because I truly believe that the quarterback should have good games. That's who you build your team around, typically. Rules are created to keep these guys from being injured. Everything funnels through your quarterback. Etc.. Etc.. Etc...
All that being said, if Alex Smith didn't impress even our division rival "haters," they weren't watching this game. Alex Smith not only threw for over 300 yards, read the defense like a book, and protected the ball, he threw bombs. And, they were perfectly thrown.
Alex gets the game ball, and it's not even close. This is what happens when your leader plays well. Other players feed off of it and have great games as well.
With two games in a row being complete blow-outs, I've noticed something. Aside from the Bucs game last year, how did we play after we got a decent lead? We'd go into prevent and let the other team get back into the game. I wonder if Harbaugh has changed his philosophy? Putting teams away, to the point they can't come back, secures victories. It may not be the "classy" thing to do, but this is the NFL, we're here to win games. Glad to see our offense being opened and allowed to keep playing even though we're up by a couple touchdowns. Hope it continues! _________________
