I wonder if he will get a start this year.
If he returns in mid-November, he will need a few weeks to get back into game shape. But by December, will the coaches want to switch out Woodyard who has played all year for DJ? Or will DJ be relegated to substitution? |

You don't put a full strength DJ in a situational role. Especially not in December and January. |

So 6 games just turned to 9. Then figure at least 2 weeks to get him back to full speed. Barring any injuries, is it worth keeping him on the roster?
I still think yes. Have him play this season and see what hes got left. If he plays well, great. I still wouldnt offer him a contract extension though. _________________

For how long is he still under contract? _________________ The situation is hopeless, but not serious. |

I hope he'll make an impact in the playoffs.
I don't know how to feel about DJ. He's been thrown around at various LB positions and I don't recall him complaining about it, isn't injury prone, and makes the defense better when he's out there of the field.
I don't think we should cut him, does he have any trade value? |

This is frustrating i think this is godell flexing his muscle after not being able to enforce the saints suspensions _________________

I think it'd be stupid to cut DJ and his trade value doesn't reflect his actual playing value so I'd say keep him. He's a good-great LBer and when he's on the field our defense is much better. Getting him back at the end of the season/playoffs could really help us. He's an idiot, but he's a good player and that kind of talent can't sit on the bench when he's available imo. _________________

Personally if we could trade him I'd say do it. Has nothing to do with his on-field ability.
He's just one more bone-headed off field issue from getting a year long suspension. Given his history that seems pretty likely to me. |

No this is what happens when you drive drunk, get punished, serve your punishment, and then are stupid enough to drive drunk again.
DJ deserves this, has nothing to do with Goodell flexing muscle. And if it is Goodell flexing muscle, he chose the right guy to do it against. |

I'm surprised Moreno didn't garner a suspension. _________________
