#2 Clemson and #5 Virginia Tech are at it.
17-17 at halftime.
RS Freshman QB Lonnie Brown won the starting job... and promptly threw a pick six on his first college attempt.
Since then, he's managed to lead long drives for the Hokies, though that Clemson defense is getting pressure and sacks. _________________

#5 Virginia Tech defeats #2 Clemson, 45-30.
Lonnie Brown: 11 of 18, 304 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT, 3 sacks
Michael Holmes: 22 rushes, 98 yards, 1 TD
Josh Graham: 5 rec, 82 yards, 2 TDs
Brian Lloyd: 2 rec, 96 yards, 1 TD
Gary Dunlap: 2 rec, 54 yards, 1 TD
Michael Holmes: 1 rec, 44 yards
El Smiling: 1 rec, 28 yards
Sacks
Jason Matthews: 1
Interceptions
Detrick Bonner: 2
Joseph Pope: 1
Trey Edmunds: 1
JC Coleman: 80 yard punt return touchdown
Good game latino, and good luck the rest of this season.
Team Captain and Impact Player SS Detrick Bonner came out to play, with 2 clutch interceptions and 4 pass deflections. Whole defense played relatively well against an explosive Clemson offense, though there were a number of missed tackles in the backfield that made me want to rip my hair out.
Offense... surprisingly well. Got a solid 4.4 ypc on the ground, and after throwing that first INT, settle down passing. A number of passes were right on the dot, and big plays happened. Looking forward to having more games with this offense.
BTW - latino, that pick six, I went back to look at it. Your CB just made an amazing play... but my WR just basically stood beside you / ran with you without making an effort to tackle you. Kinda like an escort blocker. Then you ran past him, and his slow butt couldn't catch up. _________________

Good game, nles!
My WR really seemed to have a problem getting separation in the 2nd half after playing really well in the 1st.
Good luck the rest of the year. _________________

U-Dub comes from a seven point deficit @ the half to win 42-28 vs #10 Arkansas
GG thelaw
I struggled on defense, he out gained me 530-421...I couldn't stop the big play for nothing in the first half.
61yd run in the 1st
58yd pass in the 2nd
72yd pass in the 2nd
I don't know if I made the necessary adjustments or if we finally made some plays with a couple sacks and a couple TOs all in the 2nd half.
Defensively we need some work. Too much time in the pocket and big plays usually leads to a loss, we were lucky.
Freshman CB Marcus Booker had 6 PD...I'm more upset than happy about that stat. He has 68 CTH, not bad but a few of those he had what looked like both hands on it. _________________

NC State narrowly holds off A&M at the end, 35-31.
We were pretty much score for score the whole way, only difference was TD v FG. He had 1st and goal on the 2 with 2 seconds left, he rolled left and my DE Spy batted the pass down to end the game.
GG to fret, don't think either of us could've done much better in this one.
The Dude was 11/18 for 174 yards, with 2 TD's and 1 INT, and he added 11 carries for 115 yards and 2 more TD's. Tony Creecy did the heavy lifting with 16 carries for 58 yards and the go-ahead TD.
Freshman receiver Carlos Morton had 6 catches for 79 yards and 2 TD's.
And fret, the DT who kept up with everyone on your offense is 87 overall with 70 speed, 66 agility, and 73 acceleration. I don't know what to tell you on that _________________

Good game, man! Apparently our coaching staffs forgot to tell our defenders that QBs actually are allowed to run with the ball. Combined like 240 rushing yards between the QBs. _________________

Yeah, especially our DE's. Between the 25 read option plays, I think we handed it off 2 or 3 times, yet the DE would always go for the RB _________________
