We need to after Delmas, Moore, Phillips, Chung, or maybe make a move for Landry in the offseason. That's our best shot to really solidify the safety spot opposite of Nate Allen and not have to worry about drafting one. _________________

Correct me if I'm wrong, but of those 4 players, only Moore haven't had problems with injuries? and can Amerson tackle well enough for a safety? Not to mention he would have to do a position switch. _________________

I don't think any of them[outside of Landry] has any major injury concerns. That's what happens when you have safeties flying around, laying people out, they get hurt. Our safeties miss tackles, miss play balls, get burnt so they're less likely to get hurt.
I think Amerson is the last resort selection for a safety, but he still have the ability to develop into a corner[depending on his combine numbers]. Anyone who thinks drafting a safety over one of those guys[aside from Landry I can see], is foolish. _________________

Delmas - Missed 1 game in '09, 1 game in '10, 5 games in '11, and played in zero in '12.
Chung - Missed 2 games in '10, 8 in '11, and started all 4 games so far.
Landry - I just wouldn't trust to stay healthy.
Moore - played in only 2 games of '09, but I don't know if that's because of injury, missed 4 games in '11.
I don't mind that they miss a game or two a year, that happens. But Chung isn't special and he probably want to much money. Landry can't be trusted to be healthy. Moore I think is going to be resigned, maybe not? Delmas I like, but have you seen the Lions secondary without him and Houston? They're beyond terrible. _________________

Would love Moore or Chung, maybe Landry. If he's lucky _________________

One thing to note is Bowles likes his safeties (and cornerbacks) tall. Anyone under 6 foot need not apply. _________________

Neither team is going to able to offer either player a decent contract, both are currently in cap hell. _________________

A lot can happen from now and next off season.
Delmas I really like. _________________

They also drafted Vontae Davis and Nolan Carroll when Bowles was in Miami, so it's not like he hasn't been on staffs who draft defensive backs under six foot. _________________

| If you're looking for a LT prospect, Justin Pugh is playing against Pitt right now. Top 64 pick right now. Good player. |

I'd much rather draft a guy like that in the second round than any OL in the first. We need a developmental guy/swing tackle, not a starter. |

He has to fill out that frame to be a successful LT prospect, but he was damn impressive tonight.
How about my boy Devin Street with a monster game tonight? This kid is being seriously overlooked right now, big fan of his. _________________

Come again? Unless you're counting on Peters returning to full fitness.
And one thing we've learned from Shawn Andrews is always have a contingency plan _________________
