Unless the Eagles (or Lakers ) are playing, word.
We as a society need to find more constructive ways of entertaining ourselves. Plopping your behind on the sofa and spending countless hours in front of the tube has been the bane of human existence for generations now.
I'm guilty of it from time to time after a long day at work, however. _________________

Your overreacting. Do people (included myself) watch too much TV? Yeah. But it's hardly the "bane" of our existence. And Especially not for generations, I think the TV really got going when my dad was born. So that's two generations.
I do find it disturbing, the amount of reality TV they're making. _________________

For once, the Cowboys bring something humourous to the table. _________________

Just been to see Looper.
Reasonably good, had less sci-fi than what I expected.
Joseph Gordon Levitt looks weird in it though _________________

Heard mostly good things about it. Good popcorns? _________________

Yeh, definitely worth going to see.
IMO the film is definitely in two parts. _________________

In Looper he is, though he does look eerily like Bruce Willis _________________

Yea. I draw the line at reality TV too...good scripted shows are fine, and I think we are in a somewhat golden age with some truly great shows....but even some of the competition shows like Face off or the old one The Mole are ok in my opinion.
However, I do want to shoot myself whenever I see clips or commercials for most of these reality shows. Honey Boo Boo, Dance Moms, and what is it now.. 52 kids and counting? on top of anything on the E channel...just about makes me lose hope for the future.
It's like instead of watching people fight to the death we now see them humiliate themselves for money. Everyone knows its sick but they watch it anyway. Fame and Money are so important to a large amount of people in this country that they are willing to whore themselves and their families for this crap....and too many viewers just love it. I think it's like "hey..at least we ain't that bad" kind of mentality.
I know I watch too much tv, but I'm ok with it because I watch like Oz, Breaking bad and those types of shows.
It's just gonna get worse though..they are too cheap to make and get to many viewers. I shudder at what will be the extreme in 10 or even 5 years....we have a fat toddler in hooker makeup running around...while her sisters eats off the floor like a dog, we have these "Why are they famous?" people with 4/7 shows, and whatever other crap is out there now....just try and think what they'll make to top that. _________________
