NON PPR I am currently ( 2-2 )

Current Team:

QB- RGIII
RB- D. McFadden
RB- D. Murray
WR- Julio Jones
WR- Brandon Marshall
TE- A Gates
Flex- Ryan Williams
K- M. Crosby
D- Texans

Bench

R. Mendenhall
S. Greene
T. Romo
B. Hartline

He is offering me either LeSean McCoy or MJD for Julio Jones.

I would do it but it leaves you weak at WR. You would have to immediately trade for another WR.

I agree - Julio is probably more valuable to your team than either rb
if you can flip dmac or Murray for a quality wr then it's fine.

Ps I like mjd slightly better

I would sit tight.

You have a very good team. Most guys not playing up to their draft spot or potential but if you trade Jones then you are thin at wr forcing you to make another move trying to get a wr. Do guys know you "need" a wr at that point which could force you to take something you normally wouldn't take?

I wouldn't be shocked and actually expect Jones finishes as a top 5 wr by years end.

Interesting dilemma, but not the one you're considering.

McCoy versus Jones-Drew is a wash.
Either is fine.

Your issue comes in at the point of trade.

You have two underperforming, but decent backs.
Either one or both is likely to have increased value as the season progresses.
You also have a back in Mendenhall who is coming back into a starting role.
You can survive and even thrive with that compliment of backs.
Your RB situation looks built for the playoffs.

Conversely, you are perilously thin at WR.
Trading Jones just exacerbates that situation.
You'd be starting Hartline.
His mean numbers look great, but his median ones leave a little to be desired.
That doesn't even account for what you do on bye weeks and God forbid you face an injury at receiver.
You're screwed.

I don't know enough about the dynamics of your league, but I'd immediately start looking to bolster WR through some of your RB depth.
Gauge the interest carefully before pulling the trigger on this trade.
You could find yourself in a very weak negotiating position if you don't have concurrent trades aligned.
There would be no sense in trading Jones for a back who you have to send packing for a receiver three weeks later after going 1-2 due to your weakness at one position.
