Ok in my 12 team league im 2-1 but both my wins are against are against an 0-3 and 1-2 team. I havent been scoring many points so ive gotten lucky and its making me think my team isnt as good as i thought. I made some pickups this week and got Cutler (on a hunch that he will turn it around), Pitta, Hawkins, Tynes. Im still exploring some trades but nothing will happen his week. Im just wondering if you guys would fill my lineup out any different.
Heres my lineup: 12 team PPR league .5 per completion (for QB)
QB: Cam Newton
RB- Marshawn Lynch
RB- Jamaal Charles
RB/WR- Torrey Smith
WR- Calvin Johnson
WR- Steve Smith (car)
WR/TE- Vincent Jackson
TE- Brandon Pettigrew
D/st- Seattle
K- Lawrence Tynes
Bench
QB- Jay Cutler
RB-Doug Martin
RB- Cedric Benson
RB- Alfred Morris
WR- Golden Tate
WR- Andrew Hawkins
TE- Dennis Pitta
Really the only spots im having trouble is my flex spots, and TE and maybe QB idk if i wanna go out on a wimb on Cutler though.

My team in my money league is 2-2 (we had a double header last week), but I am the lowest scoring team in the league, thanks to my pathetic QB's. I had to do something so I made a bold move and pulled off a huge trade.
I traded
A.J. Green
Jay Cutler
DeMarco Murray
for
Tom Brady
Mikel Leshoure
Rob Gronkowski
I think this is gonna kickstart my scoring. |

I traded with a rookie to our league. Believe it or not, all I did was post on our message board that I needed a QB. He came to me, with almost, this same exact deal. He was offering Brady, Gronkowski and Cedric Benson for Green, Cutler and Murray. I just asked him to sub Leshoure for Benson and the deal was done.
The funny thing is, he was 4-0 at the time of the trade and he's now left with Cutler and Jake Locker as his QB's. I don't know what he was thinking?
DeMarco Murray has been pretty underwhelming this season as well. The Cowboys have been getting terrible play from their interior O-Line and there is no running room for him. I think that there is a chance, I upgraded the RB position by swapping Leshoure for Murray. The only player I really wanted to keep was A.J. Green, but I knew I had to include him if I wanted a good QB. I picked 12th in that league, so there was no great QB's left, when I chose. I'm left with Reggie Wayne, Torry Smith, Rob Gronkowski, Santonio Holmes, Michael Crabtree and Golden Tate as my WR's, so I'm in still pretty good shape at WR. Wayne has been consistent, Smith has been great the last 2 weeks and Gronkowski is supposed to begin a bigger role this week as a receiver. Holmes had a solid week as well. |

you won that big time. It sucks you had to get rid of Green but like you said there was no other way you would get a big time QB _________________

On a happier note......
The trade I made, worked out waaaaaaay better than I could have ever imagined.
Tom Brady 52 points
Rob Gronkowski 19 points
Mikel Leshoure 5 points
Plus, I picked up Kicker Greg Zuerlein on the waiver wire and started him. He accounted for 29 points.
Last week I scored 80 points. This week, I scored 156 points.

Tom Brady killed the trade enough.
And nice work on starting Zuerlein. _________________

| I was just wondering, how is the board's fantasy league going? Who's doing the best so far and what are the standings? I was just curious. |

I would post them but some of the team names are inappropriate for the forum and I don't know who is who off-hand. The link should let you see, however. _________________

My entire draft was autopicked so thats my excuse for going 0-4 _________________ Trying is the first step towards failure

I believe it. That is why I couldn't participate. I wasn't able to be there for the draft and I don't trust autopick. Until you actually see how the draft is shaking out, it's just too hard to make picks ahead of time. You might have a list with three QB's at the top (Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Drew Brees for example) and then then a bunch of RB's and WR's listed with solid QB's like Matt Ryan and Matt Schaub further down your list. In that case, if there is an early run on QB's, you're in trouble. If you're actually at the draft and see the run on QB's, you can adjust your list and make the necessary changes, so I totally understand. I refuse to use autopick. I got burned too many times. |
