Wait. "Hardcore FFrs" wait until the first weeks are over, so they have a better understanding of who's legit and who isn't? Isn't that part of FF? If they need that "head start", I question how "hardcore" they are. |
No, some of us enjoy that. But knowing every players "true value" makes the draft more intriguing to alot of people. |
A lot of people who don't know football. |
Hardly. Sounds like a comment meant to pump yourself up. |
Eh. If you need to know how players are going to play before you draft them, you aren't really playing fantasy football. |
That is what you like and how you prefer to play. That does not make it the better way. _________________

Have to ask Sllim.
According to Sllim and TL, if you don't do FF the way we do, then you don't know or care about football _________________

Wow.
Hardcore FF guys are guys who read up and study. Guys who have sleepers nobody else is eying etc.
Not guys drafting after dust has settled.
My wife's office of women drafted after week 2. Half of them didn't know NY had two teams. Hardcore! _________________

Nah. Not the way we do, but the way that maintains the elements of risk and the unknown, two things that make fantasy football... fantasy football. Without those elements, it's just... far easier. _________________

Yay, Amendola is hurt! Man this fantasy stuff is fun.
I wish we would have done the draft after this week. That way, I could be "hardcore" and avoid players injured during weeks 1-5. That makes me a better fantasy player. _________________

Yep. Someone would draft him early, and they would be smart... because... well... yeah. Hardcore. _________________

I got it. If it doesn't line up with the way you do it, then they are sissies. Won't forget that very important lesson. _________________

Tee ball = hardcore. Baseball = not hardcore. The element of surprise and risk makes hardcore things... not hardcore.

Not the way I do it. The way everyone other than a select few do it. And I never said it was wrong, and never said people have to do it like me, just that I don't trust their ADPs because I have seen who does their drafts late, and they are people who don't follow football very close. _________________

Interesting.
First you didn't know there still were drafts. Now you've seen untrustworthy people that draft this late. Not to mention these ghost people are clear representations of the other 30000 involved in the ADP data.
No, I would DEFINITELY trust ADP right now as a representation of players values much more than much anything else. We now know these players' values and it would be well represented in a few thousand drafts. _________________

ADP FAILS to factor in so much. Scoring systems for one is major
Matthews has been rumored to be cut this offseason and already benched once for Jackie freaking Battle.
Yet his ADp is stupid high.
So many people do auto drafts too which AdP gets flawed because ESpN etc doesn't change rankings in draft _________________
