Lol my gamer geek coming out in the "beta" comment.
Anyway..
Round 1 - Geno Smith - QB - WVU
I think the most impressive thing about this guy is that he's throwing to targets that are 5'10 and 5'9 with no problem. Give him a 6'1 Bowe and 6'5 Baldwin to take advantage of! Add to that his notorious reputation for being an absolute film room rat and I'm pretty sold.
Round 2 - TJ McDonald - S - USC
I honestly don't know what to make of the Chiefs S position anymore. Berry has been dissapointing. Lewis is somewhat fragile and plays a position that is notoriously oft-injured. Daniels needs to go back to being a big CB. Elam hasn't had any impact. I thought long about Fauria at TE here.. but for now I'll start with the safety and see how things play out. I like Reid from LSU but I'm doubting he makes it to round 2.
Round 3 - Kevin Reddick - ILB - UNC
Prototype size but more athletic than Belcher. I think Belcher gets a bit of an unfair wrap sometimes - he's solid - but he can be upgraded too.
Round 4 - Jalston Fowler - FB - Alabama
Eachus has done an admirable job playing out of position as a FB. I like Eachus. I like better players more though! Fowler is the best FB in the draft.
Round 5-7 Added in later versions. _________________ Throw to score! Run to win!

The thought of Geno on this team makes me giddy. |

Geno to Bowe. Now that is a show. If we let Bowe walk I won't know what to do _________________

I really think a CB takes preference over the last 3 picks, but I don't dislike it. _________________

Your Denver hatred is borderline pathological. I don't think my girlfriend cheating on me would cause me as much hate as you have for Denver. |

I really hope KC come alive and wins 6-7 games. Oakland won't win maybe 4. I really want Smith in Oakland. Would hate to see him play in KC the next 10+ years. Kid is going to be special.
Granted Oakland has bigger needs, but you can't pass on a franchise QB. You have to have one to win consistently in the NFL. _________________

I like it all except the fullback pick. TE or CB there. |

I was thinking of doing a mock but figured I would get lambasted for posting one so early!

I like the first three picks. Isn't the FB for Alabama a junior? Not sure, but I was thinking he was.
Smith would be a great pick, but I am not sure when it is said and done we will be picking up high enough to pick Smith. T.J. McDonald is a quality pick at a position of need IMO. I do like Lester better though. Kevin Reddick is a player I have mentioned in here before that I think could be a quality inside linebacker opposite Derrick Johnson. Definitely less of a thumper than Belcher but more upside as a coverage linebacker. _________________

sorry, Collin would not be a good FB. I'd love to take him in round 7 for a QB. Dead serious. Let him sit for 5 years and completely re-work his mechanics and he could be a great backup guy ultimately _________________

Don't worry, I was joking about Klein. _________________
