Should be a misdemeanor, a fine and then the Suspension. Sucks but it could have been a whole lot worse.
Maybe this gets DGB's head on straight and he starts working his [inappropriate/removed] off to be the WR he should be. |

Is there a reason why DGB has been targeted so little this season?
I figured he would have made an early impact. _________________

| I can't watch this team anymore. Our offense is laughable. |

Franklin isn't even a good QB when hes out there. Need some serious recruiting. _________________

Went to the game Saturday, wasn't what I expected. It was 39 degrees and windy. On top of that, offense played like an incompetent high school team...
Berkstresser might be the most inaccurate QB I've seen in quite a while. He looked horrendous... _________________

We all expected Franklin to take a big step this year, but if anything he has regressed. The closest he has played to his standard from last season was the Georgia game, which we had a chance to win. We had the ball once only down by 4, and twice only down by 7. We couldnt move the ball. And when you give them 2 consecutive possessions on your own 1 & 5 yard lines you wont win.
This teams defense is good, good as hell. But I saw something Pete Scantlbery tweeted, That a current recruit told him last week that he wished anyone on the offense had the fire an passion that Sheldon Richardson did.
Our offense is just floating through the motions and I do believe thats a direct correlation to Yoast's demeanor. He needs to be more serious and less laid back cali style.
Anyone who wanted Berk, you're getting him and its not pretty. And if we are going to have a wuss as our started backed up by a kid who isnt good, we wont win any games. It is absolutely absurd that Pinkel wont pull the Red Shirt off of Matty Mauk. He cant be as bad as Berk, and as a recruit he was lighting the world on fire with his play. The biggest thing is he is a leader by all accounts and know how to motivate his team and will him to win.
Is anyone convinced that James Franklin is going to be the starter next season? |

I agree. I was a big Franklin supporter last year and I expected big things this year, but like you said, it looks like he's just regressed. He just hasn't developed that "sling it around" type mentality that we saw in Chase and Blaine over the years. James is still hesitant way to much getting rid of the ball. And honestly our play calling has been absolutely terrible, We need to be running the ball more. And as much as I hate James' play this year, I blame a lot of it on our Center. That might be a little harsh, but when the Quarterback has to reach high above his head for EVERY single snap, it throws off the timing of the offense.
I think this is Mauk's team next year. |

Doesn't matter who the QB is next year, this team won't beat any substantial opponent if Yost/Pinkel continue their lack-luster game planning and play calling...
They have ZERO ability to adjust to any adversity thrown there way... _________________

I live in Iowa and am an ISU fan...here is my outsiders view of the offense:
Berkstresser is horrible. I like his competiveness, but he just doesnt have the skill set as others in the the throwing dept.
James Franklin IMO would be much better if he hadnt screwed up his shoulder...that has hindered his play this season on throwing the deep ball...plus add in the fact the another poster already commented on and that is your o-line play has been pathetic, especially the center.
Matty Mauk - has a cannon, but does he have the ability to lead a team? I believe Franklin has that ability, but can his arm hold up?
As it stands now I will say next year it becomes a 50/50 shot between Franklin and Mauk. If Mauk can show leadership, then I believe it will be him. If Franklin can show that he can throw the deep ball with accuracy it will probably be him....if both show this I think we will see Franklin.
All in all, I feel that Pinkel and Yost are going to test Franklins arm strength and accuracy and will go with Mauk if his results are lack luster. _________________

Any updates on the recruitment situation? I heard rumors that they might be targeting a kid from my home town (Springfield, MO) _________________
