Tavon Wilson:
8 interceptions, 8 fumble recoveries
(Bryan Scott is on pace for 12 and 8, but he's not a second round rookie that nobody expected to do anything) |

Imagine how much worse his stats would have been if the defensive backs could catch his 5+ gifts? Or if his receivers had not taken screens and quick outs for 60 yards ?
Peyton's quarter against Falcons was all on him, terrible throws. I'm sure you can come up with "Ifs" for all the players you listed. And most of them actually have better excuses, such as deflected passes, injuries etc. Actually, it's not even an excuse with Peyton, it's just poor play over a short period of time...just saying |

Yeah. I read it as "What if Peyton didn't suck so bad for those 15 minutes?" That really doesn't have anything to do with how he's done during the rest of his time on the field. |

Actually I don't dislike Manning at all. I probably did a little bit during the hardcore Pats-Colts rivalry days.
I just found it extremely weird to list a whole bunch projections, yet only leaving a note at one of them. A remark that somehow implicitly says that Manning might have had a better statistical season than his numbers display. When, in fact, his numbers actually are a little bit inflated due to luck and very good YAC abilities by his receivers.
This has nothing to do with Manning, I would have stated the same with any other player who I thought was being presented in a somewhat deceiving way. |

You don't think Joe Flacco being on pace for over 5000 yards is notable/unusual?
The only way that continues is if Cam Cameron completely forgets Ray Rice is on his team. |
