Its sad that it took Edwards getting a fine for me to remember that he still existed in this league Laughing

I liked Eric Frampton...

Reliable special teamer. Downed the ball inside the 5 many, many times.

Never wanted to get rid of him. Was one of my favorite players from that draft class, even as an un-drafted free agent.

Free agent cornerback Chris Carr will be signing with the San Diego Chargers this week. Carr himself sent out a tweet on Monday saying that he was San Diego-bound, although there’s been no word from the team as yet. Carr visited with the team last month and visited with the Jets last week after they lost Darrelle Revis.

Tarvaris Jackson has been ensconced as the third-stringer behind Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tyler Thigpen since arriving in Buffalo and coach Chan Gailey says that he expects Jackson will remain in that role for the rest of the year.

Somehow Tarvaris sitting behind Thigpen on the depth chart is kind of ironic. Wink

Especially considering back in the '07 preseason how the Vikings' offense came to life when Thigpen came in to replace Tarvaris.

If the Bills fire Chan Gailey at year's end, they need to find a way to hire Brad Childress as HC.

Given how the Seahawks offense has performed, Darrell Bevell could be available to be the OC too.

Childress will be free anyway, since he will likely find himself out of a job after Shurmur gets fired at the end of the year.

I thought we had a thread for the original story, but I can't find it, so thats why its going here:

----------

Add legendary Vikings quarterback Fran Tarkenton to the list of people who were wrong about the Vikings.

People thought he was nuts in the preseason when he said the Vikings would trail only the Packers in the NFC North.

“I was wrong,” Tarkenton said in a video with the St. Paul Pioneer Press. “We’re No. 1 after four weeks.”
