Called it yesterday. He knows the system. I personally felt that he shouldnt have gotten cut in preseason to begin with. _________________

Well this was a given. At least Keo isn't going to be on the field. _________________

Is Demps being put on IR? If not, I wonder who we cut to make room for Nolan. _________________

I don't think anyone on here dislikes Nolan. Good football player. _________________

They aren't going to waste that IR-return spot on a marginal guy like Demps. My bet is Carmichael is the cut since he will easily pass thru waivers to the the PS and nobody will shed a tear if he gets claimed anyway since we have a 2nd round CB that can't get on the field in front of him. I'm betting Holliday has a few weeks until Jean gets back because the Texans won't want to expose Martin to injury. Can't use Manning on kickoffs with Demps already out either and I've always hated the idea of using starters as returners. Personally, I'd bench him on kickoffs as Forsett could do no worse on kickoffs and frankly Holliday is going to screw us on one of those 7 yards deep returns as teams can tell from his body language that he is desperate to break one. Get Posey some punt return work in practice the next few weeks so he is worth something this year and let Martin take over punt returns if Holliday still hasn't done anything by the time Jean is back. _________________

The Texans save money by cutting Nolan and still end up getting him back. Kubiak said the injury to Demps isn't of the season-ending variety. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |

We cut John Beck to bring Nolan back.

Makes sense to do away with Beck-ster. Don't think he's exactly someone teams will be foaming at the mouth to sign, so he should pass through waivers and should be on speed dial as soon as a roster spot opens up. Guy has been inactive since the start of the season, and this particular move tells me we're liking the progression that QB Case Keenum is making. Even if Beck were to land somewhere, Keenum is one phone call away from a call up. _________________
