Mind blowing. |
With Stephen Hill out with a hamstring injury, he's not far from it. Here are the Jets' three healthy WRs:
Jeremy Kerley
Chaz Schilens
Clyde Gates _________________

I didn't think the Jets could possibly be more screwed. I was wrong. I was very wrong. _________________

As a Jets fan I want him to play so he can help Sanchez be successfull. As a realist I don't care all that much cause this team when healthy was probably a wildcard playoff team at best.
I want Holmes off the Jets ASAP so I really don't care what his injury is. I have never hated a guy that played for the team I love more then Holmes. Everything about him I hate from the way he talks in interviews, to the way he quit on his team, to the way he has to point every time he catches a first down (even when we are getting blown out).
Everything about him is embarrassing to the team I love and I want him gone, now.
The Jets are in for an overhaul soon and I hope it starts with Holmes. _________________

Doubtful he gets released.

Biggest defensive playmaker: done
Biggest offensive playmaker: done
This team is SCREWED, as is Mark Sanchez. With the (BS) Tebow chants coming hot and heavy, and no receivers to speak of, Sanchez is done. Any chance he had at becoming an above average QB went out the window the minute Holmes collapsed and threw the ball to Carlos Rodgers.
Is it too early to start playing for the draft? |

knew when he went down the way he did it was serious. Kenny Britt went down and fumbled in a similar fashion last year, and he was done.
Hopefully holmes can return to form next season. _________________

Plax makes the most sense, as he knows the offense like the back of his hand from last season.
Question: Is Braylon Edwards still with the Seahawks? If not, I can see him as a name to take into consideration, as he was a pretty good WR for the Jets. If Edwards isn't there, maybe take a low risk flyer on the guy he replaced in Seattle, Mike Williams. Big bodied target, not as big of a downfield threat as Edwards, but a solid target to be had (if he's maintained his weight in his time off, that is).
Also - Isn't Desmond Briscoe still a FA? He led the Bucs in TD receptions last year, right? _________________

Edwards is still with the Seahawks and Briscoe is with the Redskins.
I agree Plax makes the most sense for the Jets right now. _________________

Apparently Plax was an awful locker room presence in addition to being absolutely useless outside of the redzone. And he doesn't know the offense, since it's not the same offense.
Edwards is still with Seattle, although he hasn't caught a ball since week 1. If he were to get cut and the Jets still are somehow staying in/winning games it wouldn't be a surprising move. _________________

He's still a Redskin, last I checked. We let Armstrong go to hold onto him. |

Don't think they could have signed a worse receiver.
Scratch that just saw that Nanee was waived... _________________

Part of me still wishes the Jets had decided to keep Braylon over Holmes. Holmes has done a lot of great things as a Jet, don't get me wrong, but I get the feeling he's just a headache.
It just keeps getting worse for the Jets right now. Holmes is on IR, and Hill and Keller are fighting nagging hamstring injuries. This is who Sanchez has to throw to right now:
Schilens, Kerley, Clyde Gates (ROFL), and Cumberland. The team just resigned Jordan White to the PS, and a lot of Jets fans are hoping he gets a shot, but this offense is laughably bad right now. |
