Source tells me #Patriots will indeed be bringing back Bobby Carpenter, as @tomecurran noted earlier.

The New England Patriots announced today that they have re-signed LB Bobby Carpenter and signed TE Alex Silvestro to the practice squad.

In addition, the Patriots released DL Terrell McClain. McClain was signed by the Patriots on Sept. 26, and played in a reserve role last Sunday at Buffalo. The team also released OL Thomas Austin from the practice squad.

This doesn't bode well for Hightower.

Hamstring injuries are always tricky and the Pats have almost no depth at LB. Even if it's a 1-2 week injury, they need a body.

I thought he played well for us in the preseason, and his release from the team was because of necessities at other positions. Hope Hightower gets back in time
